Rears ARE compatible.
Measuring the length has little to do with it. It's the pigtail end that sits in the boot that is different.

Says, moog, CCS, Eaton Detroit, and the guys Scott linked to!

I'm not sure about that.We know that the top of the spring fits.If the upper strut mount has the same part number for 95 to 99 the top fits.

As for the bottom, does anyone have an old front strut from a 96 and up kicking about that they can take a pic of so we can compare?

So far, yes. I even contacted the seller and said, "YO! ARE THESE FOR REAL AVAILABLE AND READY TO SHIP?'

seller said, "YES!"

So, we'll see! I still have doubt! But damn, this is my 3rd time throwing money at these springs. Hoping for a slam dunk on this one.

the strut mount 902998 is the part # for the 95 thru 99 Riviera.

The spring perch that the spring sits in measures 27 inches in circumferance. If the series 2 strut perch measures 27" in circumferance too, then the spring will fit all years. Of course the strut/spring assembly is off the car and not compressed. So if one would want to measure their car all one would have to do is jack the front end up and measure the length of the assembly.
The spring measures 11 inches. If the OEM spring measures 12 inches then the CSS spring is in fact one inch shorter. All measurments are of the strut/spring assembled of course.
Until someone proves different, there should be no confusion now.The 95 thru 99 springs are identical and interchangable.Front and rear.

That part # is for the REAR strut mounts, which are the same on 95-99 riv's. The FRONT mounts are different 95-97 are moog K5321 and 98-99 are K5337. Look them up.

98/99 springs (and the eibach's) are not compatible with 95-97 struts and associated hardware.

I got shipping confirmation this morning that the Eibach springs are being sent from BC Canada and should be here this time next week.

I still can't believe it. They have to be the wrong springs... they just have to be..

Will be very curious how the Eibachs alter the height of the car, as well as ride too of course.

Hopefully they won't turn the car into a "skateboard" that lets you feel every rut in the road smile

Let us know. Before/after install pics that show the height/wheel-opening will be very helpful.

Good luck!

Eibach's are 1.5"-2.0" drop. These springs have been installed on other Rivs, including Mr.Riviera's, who stated a 1.8" drop. They are a progressive/dual rate spring that start out very close to stock ride, firming up to a higher rate as the springs are compressed a certain amount. Firmer springs are required with lower springs, so the suspension doesn't bottom out. Read through this thread for more details on these springs.

Let's just hope they are the real springs! I will report back next week once they get here.

Dude, thank you! hi I consider the STS Strutbar to be a rare purple item. These Eibach springs are super relic orange status.
Still don't believe it's gonna happen but I finally got a UPS tracking number after paying someone for these.

Let's see what happens!

Haha yeah I bought the Caddy STB last year, and plan on installing it this summer. I remember how hard it was to get ahold of. I can only imagine trying to locate a set of Eibachs.

I am going to attempt to plastidip my springs white. Anyone think this might mess something up? It might add 1/2 to 1 mm to their height? Shouldn't be a big deal, right?

No big deal, but don't be surprised if the dip flakes off after flexing a little bit. I think most progressive rate springs work on a principle that some of the coils bind before the rate changes. When this happens, your coating could scratch off.

That's why I am going with plastidip, so it doesnt flake. It should move right with the springs. That's the idea, at least. Now, red or white... hmmmm...

The Eibachs are probably painted/powder coated. Plasti-Dip is a coating of rubber that will peel off with some help.

I think the point is, from what I've heard, once you plasti-dip something, you must then dip as many other things on your car as possible.
