| Final piece of the puzzle came Yesturday pulled from a 1998 PA. I also found out that spindles will work from 97-99 riverias, 97-00 Park avenues , 97-00 cadillac seville and deville. ( Sorry bill I didn't know this till after we had yours to compare)
Thanks again to billboost for providing the Riviera spindle. It is the core of this entire project (or insanity)

| Not a problem, I could have gotten both sides if we had known that going in.
BTW.. Since the Bonne and Riv spindles look nearly idenitical from your 96 to my 97... let's check the part numbers. I'm liking the change in rotor and amount of pad contact.

i need to do my strut top mounts soon and i want to go lower and stiffer while i have it all apart. Well we tore my suspenion apart tonight. Sorry Mr.riviera but after looking it is clear that the sts springs will only work on a 97+ strut. THe strut seat is diffrent then the 96 one. Sorry. Pics to follow soon. I got stopped by a damn piece of rubber. I need a 97+ coil spring seat .

Edit part 2 Put everything back together again and guess what. The bleed screws for the calipers broke inside the front caliper. ( whats really not funny is 15,000 miles ago I changed the two front calipers for the VERY SAME REASON!!!) So now I have unbled brakes. Just Peachy Edit: Pics added. tear out. Spring seat FTL. | Being the first at anything is not easy. Specially when there have been no prior write ups or any kind of documentation. That is why when someone is the first to do something and share it with the rest, people tend to look up to these "Trail Blazers". After a write up the next persona who wants to do this can base what they are doing on your writing.
Remember you have limited used of a fully equipped repair and performance garage, most people do not. So with your write up people will know exactly what they need, how to do it and what could go wrong (based on this post).
Being the first to do something is not easy and there will definitely be set backs that just can't be helped, but take advantage of what you learned to share with others and the experience you gain. After doing this twice you should be a lot more experienced at working with your car's suspension. No matter how negative something is you can always learn from this and more importantly you can help others so they can learn from you. Your effort is appreciated.

| sorry to dig up an old thread, but did you ever get it all installed? what is needed to install eibachs on a 96'? i want to do this sometime soon, but i need to start getting stuff together. can i just replace the lower seat from a 97+ or will i need new struts too? also, will the 98+ struts bolt up to the 96 lower knuckles? i dont think i will be doing the fbody mod just yet (still pretty new pads and rotors). i need new strut top mounts too, so this is the tentative list i have going...just to be able to use sts lower springs on a 96.
sts springs 98/99 GR-2 struts 98+ upper and lower spring seats 98+ strut top mount and bearing

anything i left out or dont need? thanks for being the first to do this oldsman105. Not the first... Second but thanks for the compliement. You will need new struts to install the eibach springs. No the 98 strut will not bolt to the 1996 knuckle. and also your brake calipers will not work with the new knuckle. - Quote :

Just kidding... looks great. Did you clear the calipers or leave them alone? Powerslot rotors? SS lines?? How do you like the Eibachs? Lugs replaced . Only weights I knew how to put on at work . Calipers were painted black 6 months later. The rotors are Raybestos rotors for a Grand Prix GXP. I reused the stock brake lines since the were replaced recently. I love the Eibachs and brakes. Car grips the road very well. I am upgrading to FE2 sway bars to make the ride a tad easier. - Quote :

Rim is a bent ( sadly ) | |

| everything looks good, but get your tires reblanced. they are counter blanced. all they had to do is take off the wieght that is by itself and take off the same amount on the opposite side and the wheel would have come out blanced. i know its small but i notice things like that.
but hey where did you get the brake parts from? i've been to all my local junkyards and i cant find any f-body claipers to do the upgrade.

| On that kind of chrome rim I would request balancing with no visible wheel weights. It's easy to use stick-on weights just inside the tall part, out of sight. | |

I bought the W-body store kit. http://www.wbodystore.com/grandprix/w-body-store-13-inch-dual-piston-brake-kit-now-includes-lines-p-228.html You can go on Car-part.com to pick up some calipers.
