| as i was flushing out my power steering system with seafoam, and following all the instructions, when i went to hook everything back up,the wrench slipped off the inlet hose and snapped off the plastic outlet nipple ! what a bone head move! wrestling around a 3800 lb riv with no power assist is no joke! i think if i can tap a npt fitting into the resevoir i might be able to hook it back up. any advice for bonehead over here would be greatly appreciated! | |

| Sorry, no advice here. Just wanted to say I haven't heard of using Seafoam in the PS system. | |

| Use quick drying JB Weld to epoxy the nipple back in. Just make sure to stand and hold it there for as long as it is necessary. | |

| thanks for the reply,s people. i ran across it at A.Z it works pretty good. really cleaned out a goodamount of crap. my p.s was working ok. but i just wanted to change it out,and then...bam! im such a bonehead. it must have been those 5 bottles of amber bock that did it! jb weld sounds good, i was thinking the same thing. ill also add some highe temp black to the threads...should work. | |

| jb welded the nipple back in place. no prob there. but it seems that while driving just a few miles without p/s,i somehow damaged the pump seal. probably over heated and created a leak. now i have a bigger job ahead of me. and where am i going to find a seal in vegas? ill call around tomorow and see. my cuz thinks that he might have a seal that will fit. he rebuilds trannys, and has millions of different sizes in stock, and one ,might fit. | |
