im getting a engine harness for free from a 96 riviera, will it for on a 99 GTP motor or do i need to mod it some what? please help asap

You will need diagraqms to rewire the tranmisson harness to accept the 4T65E.

VVV Replacing 4T60E 11 months after rebuild VVV


A 4T60E does not like the RPMs a series 2 puts out.

Yup you will never be able to keep the engine (series 2) in its power delivery sweet spot with the 4t60. Pretty much anything slightly above 5700=5800 rpm the trans will be starved of trans fluid.

what year pcm do you plan on using?

I have found that Gm pinouts on the 96/97 pcm's are very different than 98+ pcms.
