| Has anyone heard or seen anyone using a refrigerated intercooling (pumping refrigerant through liquid heat exchangers instead of coolant?
This is just a thought and I've never really seen it done at all so I was wondering if anyone else has. Certainly the a/c compressor takes a sizable amount of mechanical power from the motor but imagine how cool you could get a charge to be. The air coming out of the blower would be like beading up into droplets as its going into the LIM! jk but you know what i mean

| The Ford Lightnings use their AC refrigerant lines to intercool the truck. | |

| Another idea... Anyone ever run something like this: Link as the coolant in an I/C, instead of normal coolant? Redline sells little bottles of the additive but if anything, I'd be looking to run a full on premix like that. I'm thinking about my coming I/C system and how to maximize the effectiveness of the SSIC setup I'll be building for Manny soon. We upgraded the FMHE to zzp's stage 2 and honestly I'm not even sure what kind of pump it is we got with the package but it closely resembles a bosch. That's the only pic I have of it right now. | |

| Devin and i used it in the regal when we changed out the I/C fluid. I use the stuff in my car (WW+ 70/30 water/glycol mix) and i will say that i see cruse temps around 177* with a 180 t-stat. i like the stuff, but i wouldnt go so far as to call it amazing or even a noticeable change in the I/C efficiency. But then again i'm not able to monitor that coolant temp or blower output temp.
I'd use a bottle of WW ($10) + H20 + some coolant (helps with reducing friction on pumps, and prevents I/C freezing if you live somewhere besides FL) Every little bit helps i guess... _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Using a larger IC radiator should increase the cooling effectiveness. You can also spray water on the radiator for even more cooling. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^
