| Just a word of warning, the loud bov's that are so popular with the tuner crowd will draw instant attention from your local law enforcement. I had one on my 95 talon. That whoosh sound is designed into it by the bell shape of the port. The quiet ones work just as well without the unwanted attention... But then everyone wouldn't instantly know you have a turbo and some ppl just HAVE to be flashy. | |

thats actually a FMHE for an intercooler core in between the LIM and blower. im pretty sure the only time these cars get an actual FMIC is when turboed.

There are FM air-to-air intercoolers used on blown 3800 cars. Most all I've seen are on the Holdens in the land down under. I've also seen a blown Hemi pulling intake air through an FM air-to-air intercooler, although I'm not sure how effective this is at reducing intake temps. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| AA are you talking about a centrifugal or roots style blower on those cars? I can see how it would benefit a centrifugal setup but its seems awfully difficult and inefficient with a roots blower to reroute the air charge all the way to the front of the car and back again. Even if it could be done I imagine there would be a sizable pressure drop by the time it reached the intake manifold. | |

I've also seen a blown Hemi pulling intake air through an FM air-to-air intercooler, although I'm not sure how effective this is at reducing intake temps. it doesnt seem like its very effective. ICs on turbo cars are meant to cool the hot air coming from the turbo before it reaches the MAF/intake. with an IC on a blown car, the cool air would heat back up right after entering the blower, hence the use of the IC cores between the LIM and blower on the 3800s, along with getting the coolest possible air through a FWI which in a sense is almost like a small (somewhat) front mount IC.
