SES light may go out on its own after a few starts. See what happens after 5 or so trips.

regarding ABS/Traction, checking the wires to the wheel sensors would not be a waste of time.

wire/connector problems are not unusual.

Glad your car is running right again I hate that when it doesn't over $ 20.00 worth of wires. Here the auto parts stores can and will scan a OBDII car like yours for free to get the codes. Good luck Merry Xmas to all.

the local rumor, so to speak, is that General Motors had several cars in which the copper used in some wiring was brittle. It would break inside the insulation and the only way to find it was to flex all the wires to find the break. The front ABS wires on the Chevy Trailblazer, I am told, had the most problem with such hidden breaks... the thing about this is that there's not a root cause except for weak quality in that one component. That is, you can't say it's because the wires were not in a loom or some such.

I do not recall reading that the ABS control computers on these cars were problematic. I recall reading about wheel sensors being an issue.

Good luck.
