| I saw a car with what looked like a completely chrome plated body.
I don't know how they did it, but I want to do that to my RIV.
If anyone knows a website about how it is done, please let me know.

| Also might have been a DeLorean.
Chrome body sounds neat until the practical problems with driving that buggy in the sun become apparent. I would not do it. But I am not you.

| it's very hard to do it... you need to get the whole body of the car very smooth...cos every bump will be easely seen when you have painted it as chrome.. and so much as i know..its ilegal...cos in a sunny day its dangerous for other drivers..when a huge mirror drives araund rods and blinds them. | |

| Ya its definately illegal in New York, because this guy I met had a custom shop do this on his Cadillac in Virgin and he said that he had to take the car off the road because it was illegal and he sold it as a show car on-line. He said the paint job cost him almost $10,000 | |

Hell no! I hate color change paint. Cars always look tacky with this stuff on it. I do like idea of a more silvery silver. I've been looking at numerous concept cars which appear to be more chrome like, but I think the effect is done with lighting and the actual paint is about the same as ours.

| I'd knock it down by about 30% but I agree with the idea of a more chrome-like silver. I'd like to have that and an orange leather interior (with my black wood dash kit). | |

Tell me this is not just the coolest looking paint job. That looks very cool in that setting and on that car. I can see where 'chrome' paint has it's place. Not for me, but looks very cool in that pic.
