| It would be interesting to know. I can say that the dealer I purchased mine from told me that the colors were geographic. For instance, the red, and black colors were East Coast sellers, and the Diamond White more a West Coast. I have seen one straight white Riviera which I would have preferred over my diamond white. I like straight colors as they are easier to touchup. | |

| "bright white diamond" (offical name) is the tri-coat pearl/metalic white riv color. there is also a pure white riv color that is like any other white. the diamond white looks different in different lights--->see my sig or cardomain site for examples _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. If yours is Diamond White then you also need to know that there are several variations of Diamond White, so when you are getting touchup paint make sure you read the paint code located in the trunk on the inside of the spare tire cover. Actually, you should always read the paint code before buying touchup paint. | |

| hey thanks for that. i didn't know that it was on the inside there. that helps cause i do need to pick up some touch up to cover what the dumbass backed into before i got. not real bad but you can tell where the paint is chipping.[/i] | |

| Diamond White was the only paint color option in 1998 that cost an additional $395. | |

| I can't find the sticker with all the code numbers on it? some have them in the trunk, some have them other places. Where is it on my 97? I think it's Bordeaux Red with matching leather, but it needs repainted pretty badly. roof and trunk looks sad from the junk clearcoat that GM used that year. | |

| On my '95 it is stuck on the inside of the right quarter panel, accessed by removing the trunk lining, on my '99 it is on the underside of the spare tire cover. | |

| I planned on taking a trip to Honda today to see if the delSol I saw last weekend was still there. You don't see an older car like that on new car lots too often, I wanted to see how much 'they' were selling it for. Well no luck, the 2008's are in and there are no more room for the riff-raff. I did see something that caught my eye. I saw a new Civic 07 or 08 in a dynamic light blue metallic. This isn't the light blue color I've seen on new Civic, this was sexy. This got me thinking, this color would be an easy transition for those Riv owners with the light-blue metallic paint who want to go in for a refresh paintjob. Visually is pretty much the same brightness and hue but with a kick of color-shifting to a paler silver/blue. This is a must see to really appreciate it. The color is called Opal Silver Blue Metallic As you can see in this detail the color reacts noticibly to surface changes, now imagine that on the Riv's curves and creases....now imagine it in motion. Still go see it when you get the chance for shits and giggles. If I had to do it again, I would consider this. | |

| pass, sorry andy, but silver is the most common color in FL. the pic there is def a high gloss paint, but that color doesnt do it for me. i'll keep a look out for it in person, then i may change my mind _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | It may also be reacting well to Photoshops "levels" tool. The darks and lights look pumped up.
I like the darker silvers Chrysler's been using. I also like the stealthy quality of the common Buick silver. When I'm out in the Riv, no one knows if it's me or the other silver Riv in town. | |
