| It could work, but you would need to modify it to fit. It won't be a clean bolt-on. Good project idea! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I'm thinking that some of the play in the silicon coupler would allow me to pull the intake closer to the front if it did not clear the tank. I just really like the idea of a smooth aluminum intake. I have looked at all the other intake options and this one seems the most "clean". also the aluminum would give a good mounting point for a meth nozzle. Just got that big reenlistment bonus and im ready to spend some money | |

| For the money, I think you would be better off making your own. If you did the mock up and took it to a shop to weld it, you could probably do it for ~$100 compared to the $190 of the ZZP kit. | |

| Rob Harlan welded up his own, charged $250 for it in 2005. Not saying you can't have it done for cheaper, but you get what you pay for. Rob was a master welder, btw. You can see it in the product.
The ZZP unit is mandrel bent, so no welds to deal with. This why it looks so smooth. To do that with welded tubing you would need to spend a few hours sanding and polishing = $$$. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Well im not it a rush to get the intake. Besides i just ordered two magnaflow mufflers, should keep me happy for a few months
Well either way I just sent a Email to ZZP asking about fitment. Should be good info for the Riviera community

| Ordered some 4" Spectre intake piping along with a 7" K&N filter to start work on my FWI. I ordered just enough piping to get the filter in the corner behind the headlight, once everything is assembled I'll be able to determine what else I'll need to make a smooth transition into the fender ( probably just a 90 elbow ). I ordered the 40 degree with 7" leg along with a 30 degree elbow. I also picked up some high temp black wrinkle paint to give it a factory look. I checked out the other write-ups on this and my setup might be slightly different. Well here is the temporary "warm air" intake. unfortunately there was not much I could do with the 30 degree bend like I thought I could. I'll most likely order a 90 to take it down into the fender. Sounds great though Worked on the intake some more. I was really frustrated that I had this $25 piece of 30degree tubing I could not use so I experimented some more with and eventually got it to fit nicely with some adequate trimming of the sheet metal. The filter sits mostly in the fender and that good enough for me. | |

| Looks good Todd! It's really hard to get something that works nicely with that coolant overflow there without adding more bends or more severe bends, at least if you're trying to get the filter completely in the fender. | |

| Thanks for combining my posts, was not sure where they belonged.
Here are the part numbers I used for anyone thats interested: Spectre 40 degree elbow with 7" leg - 97400 Spectre 30 degree elbow - 9737 K&N 4" inlet, 7" long, filter - RU-2590 Spectre 4" coupler - 9771
While I could have saved a few bucks by not using the Spectre coupler, I chose to go with this one on the throttle body because it comes with a 3.75" adapter that fits the throttle body perfectly. For the other coupler I just used a K&N #KNN-08761.

| Im waiting on my headers, and then I can reconsider making a new intake. But this supercharger leave me no room with the coolant bottle in the way | |
