the other day just outa no where. i start my car while leaving work and my airbag light stayed on. i turned the car off then on again. it went off. no biggy. now the past couple days it wont go off. the fuse is good. so what should i check? what causes the airbag light to come on and stay on outa no where like that?

It detects a problem with the system during it's self check. Whether it's the crash sensor, or the airbag, or some wiring... impossible to say. An appropriate computer (think dealership frown ) can identify the problem.

I have good luck paying mechanics with big computer systems a little cash to read an oddball code for me that autozone can't read. Any decent sized shop with one of those big red Bear computer analyzers should be able to do it...
