checked fuse not wiring? ...yes the wiring. Nature of the airbag circuit and device design is it's got to be highly reliable in order to work at all. More than half the airbags in cars made in the US were made by Thiokol, who also made the inflatable cushions that broke the fall of the Mars lander and a number of propulsion systems, solid fuel rocket stuff, et cetera. It's actually a fairly dangerous defice and they don't eff around with the device or its electronics. So yeah, first do a quick visual check of the wiring. Don't plug/unplug anything just get a look... and this is not going to be all that simple. You may find a plug has come loose or some other problem BUT don't plug it back in until you depower the system. Next - Get a factory service manual. It tells you how to depower the airbag system and troubleshoot. Albertj | |

| Did you have any luck? My airbag light is on but no one around here can scan it. Any details on depowering the system besides removing the battery leads? What wires should I check? Do's and Don'ts, etc... | |

| First check system voltage while running, should be under 15 volts. A bad regulator can produce high voltage that can trigger the air bag lamp and cause other gremlins to arise. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |
