really they are not free but not very pricey either. do you think the dealer phone call might be a problem? I don't see any harm in posting the numbers in this thread. If someone is planning on ordering some items anyway they can add them to the order. Sometimes you don't have a good parts counter to go to. It is much easier to tell them what part you need without them staring at the screen for 10 minutes and pulling up the wrong part. I have had that happen too many time before. no offense intended. I guess I should have said that the clips are used in the dealer body shops and what not ant they're not likely to give you the terminal stare when you ask. there may be numbers on the site, heck I may have posted them some time ago but I no longer have them. Hopefully someone will chime in but if not it's unlikely to become an issue.

No worries. One of these days I will have to swing by the dealership. Don't seem to have as much free time as I used to. _________________ 1998 Supercharged Riviera - Custom CAI, Alpine spx-13ref, Infinity 6x9's, Alpine 4 Channel Amp, Kicker KX3, Silverstars, STB, Hawk Brake Pads, Monroe Air Shocks, KYB GR2

| I hit a flying alligater on the i-5 grapevine to LA. It knocked off the front passenger side chrome wheel opening molding. The clips are still on the fender. I have been trying to locate the trim piece. the dealer told me that these are no longer available. I am trying to search on EBAY motors, but having no success. Can anyone steer me to someone who can sell me the front passenger side chrome wheel opening molding? Thanks in advance. I just got the car and had it painted. I am now a huge 1998 Buick Riviera fan, The rareness of it does pose some problems for repairs. Would also like help in upgrading the stereo since I found out that there is no way to upgrade and keep the Steering wheel functions. I am having a little difficulty manuevering on the site, but I am trying to get the hang of it. Thanks in advance, Ron | |

| My car is missing the fender trim on both sides (front of car) and I found a Riv being parted out with the trim still in place. My question is, how do I remove the trim? I know there's the two black pin fasteners closest to the bumper that I can get out using a pair of pliers carefully. How do I get the other clips off? Do they come off attached with the trim, or does the trim come off separately and you have to take the clips off separately? | |

| They just clip on to the fender edge. Only problem is, once the clips bend/break, that's it, can't use them anymore. The clips are unobtainium. We can't even find them aftermarket. | |

| You can't find them Scott? I ordered them from my local Buick dealer at the beginning of the summer and got a 10 pack. I'm not sure where they ordered them from but I had them in about 2 days. If I think about it I'll grab the part number off the bag tomorrow. | |

Haven't been able to, no. I swear they're discontinued. When my car got backed into some years back, we couldn't find any. The body guy that fixed it had to very carefully bend them back into shape and reuse them. The P/N would be fabulous. I'll confirm yay or nay on availability....

| Ok I found the bag of them I had. They were able to get them in a pack of 10, so I'm not sure if the part number is for the pack of 10, or for each clip.

# 25639946 Thank you sir! You are correct. They're roughly $4 per clip, and you can only get them in bags of 10. They are definitely available through GM. We don't stock any, but I was able to order them from Cincinnati (GM parts hub). That's our main supplier. If they still have them, they should be available for quite some time still. I ordered 3 packs of 10 for myself just now. FYI, the Riv takes 7 clips per fender. Again to confirm.... Riviera chrome fender trim clipsGM P/N 25639946 package of 10 ~$4 per clip - $40 per bag

# 25639946 Imagine that, it's still the same part number I listed on page 1 of this thread in 2008? Looks like the price has gone up a good bit but I thought they were still available the last time I checked too?

Looks like the price has gone up a good bit but I thought they were still available the last time I checked too? I'm just shocked that they're available still. You can drive a Riv without fender trim, but you can't find a motor mount?? Lol. It makes no sense to me why GM discontinues the parts that they do.... And nobody ever looks at Page 1

| So am I wrong, or can you just drill a hole in the more plentiful retainers? I cannot find the retainers that have the holes already, but they are otherwise very similar to those without. | |

| What am I seeing here? It looks like a rubbery part on the trim itself has separated, but the clips are still good. If it's a rubber separation issue, maybe I could glue the separated parts back together with shoe goop? | |
