| ^I can tell you've been out of school for quite a while now. Time to get back and start working on that english and composition. It's hard to say how the wheels really look since the car is so jacked up in the back which just ruins the entire dynamic of the car. | |

| I lowered it down to normal hight after I put the wheels on and after I took the pictures. Like travis said, It does look reerarded jacked up with those rims and weeny little sidewalls. It looked cool with the stock rims with big sidewalls, IMO. But i'm definitely keeping that ass down for now. I'll mess with it again when I get bigger tires on it. I'm lookin around a little right now for some. those are 225/35/19 and i'm looking to get something like 245/45/19 which will make the wheels make a lot more sense on the car. problem is those wheels were originally put on a car that had 14's stock and didn't have all kinds of room for larger profile tires like the riv has. | |

the stock tires on my riv are 225/60/16. if you have an A.R. of 50, is that putting you at a smaller overall diameter? the greater width should compensate slightly for this, but I would think you're still runnin small

| just thought i'd post a more normal looking picture with the newly acquired wheels. I just need some bigger tires. I found a guy that works at a rim shop who can get me new tires for $80 a tire of pretty much any kind of tire i want. | |

| Those look really good. Now all you need are clear corners and STS springs.
I may put those on my wish list . . .

| were my 225/60/16 the stock size? According to the calculator, your tires should be nearly half an inch smaller in diameter if they are 255/50/16 which isn't much of a difference but i guess its just a calculator and may not take into account some other variable | |

| Why did you get a taller sidewall in the rear? | |

it has to do with availability. The front 245/35/19's I got for free through my guy. had to pay for the 245/40/19's though but i still got em for 80 a tire. it's not too big of a difference. I figured the smaller should go on the front since they will give me a torque / acceleration advantage over the larger diameter tires.

| There are a lot of things that can cause straight-line performance to change. Could be the tires, but maybe not. Weather and fuel make more difference to me. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I'd like to see these on the car. Might look better being a little taller in back. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

I'd stick with what you've got, they look good! How big is that anyway?

I'd stick with what you've got, they look good! How big is that anyway? 20in the front brakes are going to be slotted drilled rotors with upgraded calipers but the rears are pretty much gonna be unchanged

Do they make those to fit our FWD cars? That's close to what I'm shooting for but with more lip. I wonder if the riv was lowered in that pic?? I think it looks damn good. You'll have to clean it up behind the rims...calipers, rotors, and some fresh paint where visible. That's a wet dream right there! Very good taste Codith.

| I've thought about 19's. Maybe 18 front, 19 rear combo but I don't see too many 19's around. I was concerned 19's would be obsolete in the future. Am I misguided to think that way? BTW, the rims you have on there look really good. Are you just looking for a change? Are you selling? | |

| I think 19s are optimum for our cars. I think the larger size brings the car up to date, and I like the 5-spoke concept above. I don't see the 19" size becoming obsolete. Maybe 17" will go away, but not 19", not for a long time anyway.
Now I'll turn it over to Jack the R... _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^
