| Does anyone know if the chrome trim can be removed from the lens assembly.????? I would like to remove mine sometime and send the plastic chrome out for re-chroming. There are places that will re-plate the plastic chrome. | |

I would like to remove mine sometime and send the plastic chrome out for re-chroming. There are places that will re-plate the plastic chrome. i was unable to remove the chrome trim from my lens. i pulled off all the tabs (must have been 30 of them) then came to the conclusion the trim was glued to the chrome and would crack apart if i tried to remove it. it really sucks too because my old tail light had perfect chrome, while the replacement looks like shit. (accident a year ago put a small crack in the tail light) _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Well that sucks. I wanted to send mine out this winter for re-chrome since none of the used ones that I have seen are any better than what i have. | |
