I finally had some time between wheel hub replacements to get my 97 Riv washed and waxed. She is pretty damn close to fully loaded (doesn't have the passenger heated seat or heated mirrors). And you will probably notice the hood ornament the PO stuck on there. She is bone stock, but thats ok with me (for now). Let me know what you guys think!

Great job bringing her back David. Looks like that hood is gonna need attention soon. Not sure what PO means, but if I were you I might consider not re-attaching the hood ornament if you re-paint the hood. Hopefully now you can sit back and enjoy it for awhile after all your hard work.

Thanks! The aluminum is a bit pitted right on the edge, but otherwise ok. I do want to get her repainted at some point, but I am happy with how it came out right now. And I would definitly get rid of the ornament, its unique, but is way out of place on this car. And PO is short for previous owner.

Pretty car, David. It reminds me of how mine used to look before I did everything to it. Good to see another one clean though. Around where I live, the only ones I see are either broken down or seldom cleaned

Nice car! Looks like you have the same paint bubbling on the hood that mine had! Same darn spot. Go figure. Love that interior color. Don't see as many with that.

At first the green with green seemed a bit much, but it grew on me. Call it color shock I guess.

It is very clean. The seat is in damn good shape, but has questionable "repairs" done to it. Inside the seat back on both sides there is angle iron held on with hose clamps for some reason. Whoever owned it took good care of the interrior, the buttons on the steering wheel still have their paint too!

I have a couple of hood ornaments from my '90' and almost thought about putting one on my '96' dark green Riv just like yours, but decided it wouldn't look right on that body. It did have a nice set of Enkei wheels on it and were a deciding factor for buying it, not to mention the fact that you could smoke the tires on takeoff(love that supercharger). clap

I would have liked to have found another dark green Riv when I bought my '98'. I like green very much and my '65' is light metallic Seafoam green with white interior. In fact I painted my calipers on my pearl white "98" Riv, seafoam green with touch up paint can made up for the '65'.
I also put a teal double line pinstipe on it in place of the light brown one. And I have green dice on all my valve stems (2 cars and my neon green old school bicycle with the wide whitewalls). They say "you have to grow old, but you don't have to grow up".
My brother Tim and I are a couple of good examples. LOL twisted
