Before you buy another dorm an kit -why not call a junkyard or 2 and see if they have any 3800 engine cars from which you can pull good fuel lines.

What I would do (no real order)

- use the Dorman kit as designed for a quick longterm fix... Or...
- find the writeup on this site for making up braided SS lines and do that

In your current predicament I'd consider doing both.

Dripping fuel line is a tragedy disaster in the making, I would not drive like that if I could help it.

the braided line is a rubber fuel line with the s/s braid on the out side. it has clamps covered by the red/ blue or silver end caps goes on very easy and is sold at 3 feet long you cut it to size.
