| those were pieces of aluminum i cut out to fit and weld in. Just so i would not have to fill the slits with weld. | |

| AFR are 14.6 at idle and soft throttle, 12.5 at full throttle. I'm gonna have some changes made then I'll report results and maybe a video | |

| even if there is anything holding those from the other side, they still dont look safe. i would secure them from both sides if it were me. | |

Trying to fill the gap would need way too much contact time and heat, resulting in distorting the blower, but with the pictured inserts, you can slowly work your way welding around the edges with MUCH less chance of warping the bore. This is the way our blowers are usually successfully welded. I say usually, since the welder needs to have knowledge of welding cast aluminum (which tends to be slightly porous and absorb oils which contaminates the metal reaction in welding) to have success. _________________ | |
