| I was comming back from a business trip and made it to the road I live on. When I pressed the gas to the point the supercharger starts to kick in, I get this violent clicking/shakeing that seems to be comming from the drivers side front wheel area. Maybe more toward the tranny. It dosent happen unless I really get on it. I had the tires rotated and balanced the morning of the day it started. I wouldnt think that would have anything to do with it. I see many of you guys have had broken mounts in the past. Just want to know iw that shakeing sounds familiar. Thanks for all of your help!

| Sounds to me like it could be a bad C/V shaft(half shaft/axel) | |

| Mid gear throttling up. I have not changed ignition wires ever. I may take the front driver side wheel off and inspect the C/V shaft. It seems like it could be breaking loose. | |

| How many miles are on the car? Does the symptom start gradually as you depress the throttle, or does it happen all of a sudden once you reach a certain point? _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| It just hit 100,000. No, I would say durring acceleration about mid to full throttle. basically, when I stomp it. When the Supercharger starts to whine, and when the engine is putting out most of its power. Slow accel is smooth. I can rev it in park with no problems. I jacked the front end up, put it in drive and stomped it. No problems. It only when the engine/tranny is under load. The problem is, i cant ride on the motor and have some one drive. Well, i guess I could but I dont want to. I need a Dyno. It really feels like something is slipping/gears are jumping. Thanks, for any help. | |

| To 95_RiverI don’t think that it is a broken trans mount. Broken trans mount it is well sensible, when you are sharply switched from Р to D (or R), there will be a small wince and quiet knock. By your description at you something another … but it’s my opinion only | |

| 90% sure it's ignition wires (or spark related at least). Replace them before you waste too much time/money on the other stuff. OEMs are the best, imo... $65 or so at the dealership. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I have your symptoms 95 River, with the clicking at just past mid throttle to WOT. I don't have the shaking though....I have brand new plugs and wires and it got rid of my "bucking", but that was a separate issue. | |

| I'm going to order some wires and plugs. I've been meaning to order plugs because I put CAI on it not to long ago. If that corrects the issue, I will be very happy. If not, I have to sell it. I need a business car thats road ready. I hate to do that but I cant dump any more money into it. The A/C compressor is out right now too. Thats going to be expensive. Thanks for the help guys. | |

| NO GO! New Autolite 104s, New set of wires, 3 skint knuckels and the problem is the exact same. I'm telling you, its like the left cv/axle is breaking loose then catching 2 or 3 times a second. Can an axle be stripped? I need to take this one to the shop. I bet its going to be big bucks.......damn. | |

| I have just replaced my spark plug wires myself, and the problem is still there at WOT. I'm taking the advice to change the ignition wires next. | |

| Sorry that wasn't the problem. At 100k, you needed to change the wires anyway, so good to get it out of the way. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I had my tranny fluid changed back in March and since then I've had some tranny issues as well. The car slips a little when it's cold and dosent like to shift. It also accelerates very slowly off the line until it warms up to normal temp. I'm not sure what could be causing this...I was thinking it could be a solenoid.....but now I'm not so sure. | |

| Questions:
1) did we only have the fluid changed, or was it flushed?
2) were there any issues at all before the fluid change? (sometimes we get this done at the first sign of trouble, as a possible fix) _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| In my case, I only had the fluid and filter changed and noticed the shifting problems since having that done. Before the tanny service was done my car shifted fine, but was just a little rough when put into gear with a slight kick. That was the main reason I had the fluid changed to begin with, I figured new fluid and a filter would help smooth it out. | |
