| Those look good!
Very similar to these: http://www.tsw.com/alloy_wheels_nurburgring.php Which I was considering since I can get them in an offset that will clear brembo brakes. _________________

| They're currently only available in a 5X114.3 bolt pattern. I know they'll work, but I've heard stories about a slight vibration at highway speeds running the wrong bolt pattern. I'm going to give MSR few more months to see if they release it in the correct bolt pattern.
By mid summer if they still haven't released it, I'm going to purchase them anyway. 5X114.3 be damned!! This photoshop doesn't even begin to describe how sinister they will look on my Riv. I'm completely in love.

| My bad, I meant the 2012 GT500. Looks pretty darn similar, but I would argue the black chrome is even sexier. | |

I'm completely in love. As long as they're hub-centric type (using centering rings), they should be even better centered (and balanced) than the OEM wheels, which are lug centered. My 5x114.3 wheels had zero vibration, and still almost none 2 years later; the tires are near worn out, too. My OEM wheels were more difficult to get the balance right. The stories about vibration are probably from those who don't get the hub-centric rings correctly sized. Also the wheel nut torque needs to be evenly applied in 2-3 stages so the wheels don't try and pull to one side. BTW, don't expect a 5x115 bolt pattern version to come out anytime soon. It seems to be becoming a less common pattern for some reason. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| If your Dad has the dual exhaust cutouts on his GSX, he should take them off and sell them to me. Very nice wheels though. Huge props to the OP. I think those will look great on the Riv. | |

| Awesome choice! I was looking at those same MSRs a few years ago, in the same color. Decision came down to price - couldn't turn down a set of used Enkeis + rubber. Glad someone is finally rocking these rims. Enjoy! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Hands down one of the most well pulled-together Rivs I have ever seen. The wheels are the killing blow! Awesome job. You said your tails were professionally tinted... do you know any specifics r.e. the process used (spray tint or a tint sheet)? | |

Bump, I want mine done like that. And how does the chrome around it look so nice? Mine has water lines from where the trunk drains.

| To be honest with you, I'm not sure how he tinted the taillights. I took it to the best paint man in town, and he said he had tinted quite a few sets before and they turned out really good. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and it's held up incredible over the past year. It still looks like the day he did it.
I do know he said he uses real automotive ppg clearcoat and paint. It's not the spray can stuff that most people use. I'll tell you one thing though, the tint is too dark for the stock incandescent bulbs. If you're going to go this route, buy some LED bulbs. Now my light output is close to stock. Before I switched over, it was pretty dangerous driving during the day. I'm not a believer in VHT nightshade or the Rustoleum Lens-tint. This is the only way to go.

For those that are interested, these wheels were released in a true 5X115 bolt pattern this summer. I had been waiting almost a year for this news to happen. I'm not a fan of hub centric rings, and now I won't have to use them.

Glad you found the 5x115 offset. Just so you know, the primary purpose for hub-centric rings isn't to mount wheels that don't fit your bolt pattern, it's to improve the centering of the wheel to your specific hub. The OEM lug-centered design is a way to use a wheel on many different cars using different sized hubs. Even though Riv wheels were unique to Rivieras, they still employed this idea. Centering the wheel using the lugs is a compromise, and requires you tighten lugs very carefully with wheels off the ground for an optimum mount. A hub-centric set-up is a better way to initially center the wheel, and eliminates the possibility of shifting off center when weight is applied (this is why with lug-centered wheels it's advised to check and re-tighten the nuts after a few miles - wheels can & do shift). Hub-centric rings are a good addition to any OEM or aftermarket wheel package. My 5x114.3 wheels are much better centered than my OEMs. I can tell because they have better balance, and the wheel nuts don't loosen up as much after mounting. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^
