| Yeah, I thought about that, but I was thinking suicide doors instead. I don't know if they make a kit for that or not. (?) | |

| I don't think they make a suicide kit like that. The lambo doors is just changing the hinge and adding a gas? shock.
But for the right amount of money anything can be customized.

| I can live with the doors because they're functional on the Riv. I'm getting tired enough of trying to open my doors in tight spaces that I can almost see doing Lambo hinges myself. What bothers me about Lambo doors isn't that they're on a Riv, but that they're a dime a dozen on cheesy ricer cars.
FWIW, you can fix those power seat controls in about 1 minute. Stick it back in place (there's a notchy thing at top that hooks onto the frame of the seat) and screw the screws about halfway in. They'll wedge the controls into place solidly and be invisible from most angles.

| the doors are pretty heavy... i didnt expect them to be that heavy... but i mean i can open them with one hand so its ok... the hinges are about 20 pounds a piece | |

| Unbelievable... I love it! How is it done? Is there some kind of kit you can buy, or is it totally custom? | i had to bolt the hinge to the inside of my fender... we were off a little with the shocks.. thats why my door its a lil heavyer.. but the hardest thing is taking off the fenders.. i had to take off the rims and hood to get to the fenders... and i had to take off the door and dorr panel.. cut all the wires and rewire them becuase they where not long enouygh... it was laoot of work.. i ahd to cut a big piese of the door panel beacuse it woud hit.. if u take a close look at the pics u can see it.. im not quite done yet. im goin back to my friends house to fix my door.. the shock and it closes but doesnt shut.. it stays a lil lose... u have to shut ti real hard for it to close right... but i just love it.. i tought it wouold be easy to pop my door open when im driving but damn thats a heavy ass door.. lol | |

If you do go new they're $43 piece from Monster Parts Online. If you're building a show car, spring for the new lenses. or maybe get the new lenses and treat them with the lens defogger. I think a couple of the guys who got new lenses found they fogged up in a matter of months. The CV is supposed to be a "lifetime repair," which implies CV treated lenses won't fog up again. I don't think anyone has tried CV on new lenses yet though. You could be the first! BTW, how about a shot of the door panel where you cut stuff out?

Not to be confused with other Monster parts companies. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| I can see the usefulness in parking lots, because our doors are so big. Not to offend but I found this hilarious: | |

| That's hilarious.
I didn't know the Gallardo only had regular doors. If I were that Gallardo owner, I'd totally get Lamborghini hinges for my Lamborghini.
