This was posted a while back, use search.
Not anyone on here I think, just some pics from someone who did do it. Would need to be sturdy to support those heavy doors though.

one weard thing what i have noticed beside making cars into monstertrucks whit big rims(would be easyer to save monney and buy a suv)...well...i do not understand tho why they change the factory doors....why the hell it has to open other ways...some even buted motors in them so they flip and spinn! o.o..why are they doing that....maybe....lambo style doors could be ok whit some very sporty cars...but dont think its good for a riv...suicide doors look ok on very old cars what had them from factory... then there are some trunks and hoods what rise up sideways or....split in half...god...are they doing that just becose they want to look diferent?...
thats what i'm talking about....
actualy i figured out after i looked this video ....i think they made the doors spinn cos then its easyer to empty the sigaret dust boxes in the doors? or what ever they are called lol

Not to stray too far off the topic, but I personally love the way this one looks, especially since it "floats" across the road!
The Riv is too modern and rounded to have huge rims or raised suspension. Something with a more boxy design, the Oldsmobile here might be the most recent example, that works better.

Here's a better example, this one looks sick:

Time to bring a topic back from the dead!
I never realized how big these doors were until I got my Riviera. I dont mind them so much but I cringe every time I have a passenger with me. I have to remind them to watch the door because it's so BIG AND HEAVY! These doors have a point of no return when you open them. They have so much momentum and open wide with a lot of force!
Lamborghini style doors came to my mind as a solution. I thought about it long hard before I decided to create a topic on this(found this thread instead) because I wasn't sure how you guys would take it. I agree, it's a played out style. But I think here there is some real function value. Especially if you have nice strong pneumatic arms that make the door feel weightless. I don't want the world to judge me because of my strange doors but if they take the worry away from the highly probable situation where my passenger destroys whatever is on the right side of my Riviera, I would be happy.

There is a simple solution to your problem....passengers can find another ride or hoof it I too have had passengers fling the door open only to slam into the car next to me. I got tired of it....

Hey Guys, Still a little new here and have my head spinning with ideas after reading about a million posts. I got my Riv. when my parents passed away this year. Shes a 95" no S/C And I have The cloth interior and shifter on the column. So far all Ive done is replace the stereo speakers and added an amp for 2- 12" subs. And new plugs and wires. I also ordered an AC compressor, the one on it has an bad bearing. I really want to do Lambo Doors next year but were moving to Florida in June or July. the whole budget is hinged on that. then hope to do an engine and trans rebuild and add an super charger. but back to the topic, has any body in here put on the Lambo doors on there Riv?

It's been done, but not by any of the members here.
I agree with the practicality angle, but the ricers have ruined the look. Then again, the hinges would cost several times as much without the ricers buying so many of them. If someone thinks your lambo doors look dumb, they probably don't like your old Buick either. At least you can get in and out of it easy.

They are YOUR doors and it's YOUR money. Go for it and make no apology if lambos are what you want.
