I found this one

http://www.myinstallkit.com/BUICK/1995%20%2895%29%20BUICK%20RIVIERA%20Radio%20-%20Stereo%20Installation%20Kit.htm

Not sure how good it is though.

I have a Clarion DXZ815MP I want to install. From what I see on the net and read, I need to get 2 wiring adapters?

1 for the GM side
Headunit install kit 41SCBHVw7-L
http://www.amazon.com/Best-Kits-Clarion-Original-Harness/dp/B004E65HMM
and one for the Clarion receiver and then wire these 2 together to make a harness?
Headunit install kit 41tqU99Kn%2BL

Does no one make a GM to Clarion harness so I can just plug n play without soldering two wiring kits together?
Does everyone have to solder 2 kits together to make a harness for their aftermarket stereo or do some companies make adapter kits?
I got a 'generic' wiring harness and it definitely does not fit this Clarion receiver.

Thank you!

Yep, that's it. Whenever you buy a radio it should come with a harness. Then you'll have to buy a dash mounting kit and a GM wiring harness (Metra part numbers 99-2011 and 70-2001 respectively). After that it's just matching up the colors on the 2 harnesses. After that I like to wrap all the wires from connector to connector with electric tape because it keeps the installation neat and helps with the limited space behind the dash. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT HARNESS FOR YOUR CLARION UNIT. Nothing sucks more than not having the right one after you order it. Ask me how I know.

As far as the mounting kit it's pretty simple. You have to snap off some of the mounting ears on it because it's meant for a bunch of GM vehicles. Use the instructions and your stock headunit as a guide.

If you want to install aftermarket speakers I would highly recommend an adapter so you don't cut the OEM wiring (Metra part number 72-4568). I really regret not doing this even though my stock speakers will never go back in.
