| Blower control module will cause the blower fan to stop working, or work intermittently, but it should not cause the climate control to stop working, as in the control itself isn't operational. Something else must be up. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Bad blower control module will cause the blower fan to stop working, or work intermittently (affects AC/heat/vent). _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

open the climate control and see if one or more of your ballast resistors failed. It will be obvious once you get the control head unit opened, and if you are handy with electronics repair will be obvious too - just be sure to use better resistors. Ceramics or wirewounds intended for RF applications should work fine, I got mine from Digi-Key.

| I have this strange problem with my climate control. This winter the air compressor clutch will not kick on unless I disconnect the battery and reconnect it. Then it will work perfectly parked in the driveway. All the modes work. The temp is totally controllable. The fan is fine. The clutch turns on and off with the vent button. I played with all the switches at least a half hour. No issues whatsoever. But as soon I drive it about a mile or so I stop the car. If I turn the auto button off I can hear the clutch kick off. I hit the auto button again and clutch will not turn back on. All the buttons and temp controls still work. Then i cycle battery power and its fine again. So far I have cleaned the dust off the inside temp sensor. I took out the glovebox out and shook all the wires around. I cleaned the outside temp plug and the compressor plug. By the way I serviced up the refrigerant last summer and it was blowing ice cold in auto. | |

| Yeah I think I'm a dumbass its working exactly like its supposed to. It's all about the computer shutting off the clutch control circuit around 40 degrees. I heated up ambient temperature sensor with wife's blow dryer it works fine. It must have been cooling off when I drove it. The outside temp in Portland is 42 degrees.. But you would still think compressor would come on in defost no matter what to clear the windowshield. . | |

One of the adjustments I made when tuning my car was to lower that setting to 36. It never iced up on me, and I really wanted that compressor to help dry the windshield in some crappy weather. A/C compressor still original with over 250K miles on it, and I changed that setting about 150,000 miles ago...
