| Hi all. Pulled the cover that holds the OBDII port and this lightbulb was just dangling there. Where does it go? It looks like it has a collar on the housing that should snap into a mount under the dash but I can't find it. Thanks | |

| Somebody cut that piece, you can see it in the picture. The right half of it is missing. That depression I was telling you about, where the light goes, is cut off. _________________ 98 Riviera SC3800 All stock except gutted air box. 1970 Buick GS455 Stage1, TSP built 470BBB, 602HP/589TQ Best MPH, 116.06 MPH, Best ET, 11.54 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHCda-t_Jls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfT2tEO4XcU

Yep. You could drill and notch a hole to fit the bulb socket I suppose. Or just get a replacement panel from junkyard next time a Riv pops up. I would do the latter.

| Thank you, all. I already have a guy going to a boneyard tomorrow to get me one. Thank you! I wonder why it was hacked up... | |

If your Riv had assistive devices installed before it was sold to you, the panel may have had to be trimmed to fit them. Such as a brake assist or other controls that manipulate the pedals.

| Thank you! I didn't ask what color the new panel is that he got from the junkyard. I'll spray it with this if I need it. | |

That lower panel the bulb pops into should be black plastic with no finish - don't get me wrong you could paint it but you can't even se it unless you are laying on the floor looking up.
