Mine is black with the light tan interior, it didn't need two tone, it just needed dressed up with dark Burlwood a little bit.

An all-black inside-out Riviera would be cool!

You can do red and black two tone seats but I think that's a sporty look and the wood takes it in a luxury direction. IMO. If you keep the interior all red you can go with woodgrain and then add red somewhere on the exterior paint. (tastefully) Maybe a ghost stripe? What rims are you going with?

Color change is pricey but doable. I guess go black on black then.

What are you dying the carpet with? Are you using SEM on the leather, or another product?

I have been thinking about going 2-tone on the seats and steering wheel. IMO the monochrome wheel looks too plain next to a dash kit, so I'm planning to have the leather sections redone with black leather. I may or may not stop there, depending on how much/how hard it would be to dye sections of the seats.

I'd go for a tan/black color combo in the interior, with an ebony zebra wood or dark burl dash kit. You'll want to paint the pieces the dash kit sticks too black so install looks more factory:

You can read about all the fun I'm having with my dash kit install (still waiting to get unblemished pieces!!) here

BTW those rims look o.k. but you're going to be slower and put more stress on the tranny.

Ha ha, that's the garage and I spent about a week cleaning it at the beginning of the year. Horses live on the other side of that wall though so there's no such thing as "clean." It's a great place to work though if you don't mind a little dust.

Dash/stereo design is different starting in '97 I think.

The '95 dash is by itself, the difference started in '96.

Only if you like the smell of rat piss. There is some stuff, SCO-1X I think, that is supposed to take the smell out. I haven't tried it yet and don't know if it really works or not. 99% of all deordorizing products won't do squat.

You could contact Ed Morad, maybe he has a car with the color you want that just came in.

I'd either do it the right way, pull everything and paint/dye/re-upholster, or learn to like the red. Most used interiors are going to be worn and need refurbishing anyway, so I don't know how much you really gain by replacing yours with worn parts that also need repainting. And you will probably pay out the bunghole for interior panels. I looked into getting the center console trim from a yard, they wanted $125 for that one part. I think they'd get you up to $2000 for all the interior panels, not including seats/carpet/headliner.

Hmm, I would definitely stick with the red. Changing interior colors is either going to be a lot of work, or a lot of work and a lot of money too. The red is a bit overpowering but unique. I looked at a black Riv with red interior and would have bought it if it had been in good shape. Maybe you can break it up with black accents.

You could go newer model but you would have to get the radio and heat/air controls with it.

Look at the condition the stuff is in. Painting/dyeing will be a PITA but if you've got wear and fading it will be worth it.

Anyway, what color combination did you decide on?

'95 had Graphite, I think that was as dark as it got. I would imagine it wouldn't be impossible to convert it but you would have to be sure you had all the parts needed from a donor car.
