| Just wanted to throw this out there and make sure that everyone replaces there's before another fuel pump goes out. I usually replace mine every 50K. I just did mine last night. It takes no more than 15 minutes to do and it will save you $$$ in the long run. Jack up the drivers side rear, throw a jack stand under the car and proceed to pull the old filter out. Easy as pie! | |

| This post is so weird!! My car would not start all of a sudden yesterday. My motor is in tip-top shape, even has a re-maned block, but would not start. Pulled and checked all fuses, they checked ok.....Pulled, cleaned, and inspected the coils, all ok. I could even hear the fuel pump "Whine" as I started it (attempted to start it), but nothing!!! I pulled the fitting out of the fuel filter, and gold colored gas and gunk came out. Replaced line, car started up without hesitation. Nice post, I agree replacing before other problems occur, such as leaving you stranded/blind-sided, scratching your head. Bought a new one. Great post guys. Kevin | |

Kevin if it was that bad, you may want to replace it again after a tank or 2 of gas and sea foam _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black.
