We don't have one for our cars, but I have seen them for Regals and Grand Prixs. Wouldn't hurt to have one for our cars though. _________________ 1998 Supercharged Riviera - Custom CAI, Alpine spx-13ref, Infinity 6x9's, Alpine 4 Channel Amp, Kicker KX3, Silverstars, STB, Hawk Brake Pads, Monroe Air Shocks, KYB GR2

| It's under driver's side of the car, in front of the rear wheel. Easy to change. Can be done without lifting the car, but probably easier with one side jacked up. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I think write-ups are one of the best ways a member can contribute to the board! _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I worry that the write ups I think of are too simple and/or not wanted. The last one I was going to do was taking off the door panel (very easy) but the next day someone wanted to know how to do it... I'll write it up here soon | |

| IMO, any write-up is a good one. Think of it this way: at least some members will have very little experience working on cars, but they want to learn more. What better way to help them than to have a well-written, picture-enhanced walkthrough? | |

| whose filter are you using? i think i'm going to change mine out again this week. its only been ~20k miles on the Napa Gold, but for $15 it cant hurt to change it out again. i'll probably go with a delco one this time. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | I change one every time I run the tank below 1/8th of a tank. You don't have to tell me twice. | |

| For a 99 Riviera is a Purolator fuel filter OK or should I go to the dealer and get a AC Delco?

| ZZP claims that as tested, the fram product offers better flow than the delco and purolator. I doubt that you're going to have any real problem using the cheaper Purolator but out of preference, I'd choose against it and get the delco. | |

| better flow = less filtration (fram) better filtration = less flow (delco or wix) so it depends on what you're looking to achieve with the new filter. i personally like the delcos. some say you will get poor mileage with wix filter b/c of the restricted flow, so i try not to buy them. to me purolator puts out a better product than fram, but again that's just my 2cents _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | I don't know if it's worth testing one but I replace mine every year. It is located under the drivers side floorboard between the end of the door and front of the rear wheel opening under the car. It is tucked up a bit but easy to find. You need a couple of wrenched to undo the nut then the back part pulls out of the rubber line. Cost a few dollars at the local autoparts store. | |

| preventative maintenance. You don't want to wait until you need one. I think 25000 miles is a safe interval, although I think the dealer recommends higher than that.
Get the AC Delco. | |

| you'll be fine with a purolator if it is cheaper than the delco. I put a WIX on my GFs regal and the mileage dropped slightly. | |

| I like AC Delco parts, but I dont like having to drive across town to get them. I have only read good reports about Purolator air/oil filters but have on idea if the fuel filters are more restictive. Thanks Bert | |
