| Ambient air temp sensor. It's broken off from its mount directly above. It still works, but remounting it would be ideal. It tells the AC what temp it is outside. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Before you disconnect the thing - if you don't use the sensor but you use 'auto' setting on the HVAC control, the control assumes it's hot out (thermistor "open" default is a max temperature reading) and cycles the AC too often in summer (instead of using the vent when the vent would work). Ilan - just use some double faced trim tape (the 3M gray stuff with the red peel-off backing), silicone caulk, Goop, hot glue or a zip tie to put the sensor back on the mount. Travis - your sensor is still connnected, right. Or did you remove it? You're not 'talking through your hat,' are you? Albertj | |

| Aaron, thanks…good read. Not to hijack this thread, but using your pic, this is where I tapped the IAT into the fenderwell…I couldn’t tap into the “tube” because I’m using that Intense rubber tubing… Will this give an accurate IAT reading? Also Where did you get this cover? This thing is perfect! Do you remember the manufacture name and part number? | |
