lol, that was great, the guy still couldn't spin the tires in the pouring rain... I have traction issues if its slightly wet getting onto the highway at 100km....

doesn't it make you feel good knowing that there are people out there like this and you're not one of them?

Turtle - I will start by saying, you have the balls and the skills to do a lot more things to your car than I would ever attempt. Kudos to you. And yeah, that actually does sound pretty good!
With that being said... damn, you spend a LOT of money on mufflers! This is the 3rd different type by my count. You had those red ones that you clamped on (the one that fell off in the video because it was just temporarily clamped) then the super turbos, now this one!
But at least you got headers now... VROOOM!

This will be the actual setup hopefully in the next couple weeks.
I really don't know how free flowing this muffler is so I'm left to assume, based off of its volume, it's less than a single superturbo that I removed. That's not a great way to judge but it's all I got right now. The all-winning solution will be a cutout. For the moment, I'm just getting the pipe section of it so I can get it all welded in and basically finished. The electric butterfly part of it will come later.
After eyeing it up, the muffler will look much less wrong once it's straight and level (not turned). It's hugeness will be hidden for the most part. It's going on the right side, not the left. It will be farther back (towards the front of the car) than it is now obviously. Once, it's done, it could easily pass for stock except for the 3" pipe going to it and the cutout.

I'll take a couple videos with and without the cutout plugged once I get to work this afternoon. Basically, everything went how I'd expected. One thing we did that I never really considered was the slicing and bending up the shield to give the cutout more clearance. I'm glad we did that though because it would have been a little more close to the ground than I'd like, otherwise.
So this is pretty much the extreme quiet and extreme flow at the touch of a button once the actual cutout butterfly arrives and I put it in.

I don't know if this really belongs with this topic but here's with the cutout open. I'll make another one with it in action..

Look at the other exhaust threads on this board for ideas.
Unless you want to modify your exhaust, just get the replacement factory-spec mufflers from monsterpartsonline.com, get clamps from NAPA, and take an afternoon with a hacksaw and wrenches to hang 'em.

A pretty righteous setup Turtleman! with the single muffler,do you feel that you lost anything in the way of performance? I'm almost sure that the dual exhaust of the riv is for looks only. and have you thought about switching the muffler for a dynomax VT? the one with the internal gate? that muffler might solve alot of the rivs raspy sound. Karma's sounds really good.
