| I don't know about this polish stuff. The Crystal View kit has a liquid you wipe on at the end which recoats the lens. Mine are still clear after 6 months or so. I'm not sure a polish will hold up over time. | |

| It's all good. The seal population is healthy at the moment. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| That would be great. I've saved enough of them, killing a few would only be fair. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

I'm a little curious how long it will last too. I didn't think it was even going to work, but it did clear them up. I didn't pay for it, so it was no lost to me.

| The polish might be better for the inside of the lens. I don't think I'd try the coating stuff in their, for fear I wouldn't be able to wipe it on evenly and it'd form a big blob in a corner. | |

| I'm gonna try some Mag polish on mine. It worked on my Jeep GC's but these corner lights are MUCH more yellow. If anyone is interested:

| About that CV stuff earlier in the thread - is one kit enough for two headlights? I don't think my headlights need it but my cornering lights do and part of my tail light and if it has enough for the headlights that's probably enough for all that. | |

| So today i used permatex headlight lens clearer on my corner lenses. It was a bit of work and they don't look brand new , but the difference was night and day and it does make it look much better. Worth the 15 bucks IMO. | |

There's more than enough for two cornering lenses.

i used that brasso deal today and i had to use some sandpaper, which took off a nice littel bit of yellow for the 10 minutes worth of work. im going to look for some steel wool next. shit it was hard enough trying to find where the bolts to remove them were

| I've actually noticed the tops of my headlights are fading some too. Would there be enough for both headlights and cornering lights? | |

| Some kind of wire cleaning brush I imaging, kind of like a coffee pot cleaner. I'd like to see how to do it too. | |

| What kind of "cleaning" are you trying to do to the inside? Are they dirty? I wouldn't think they'd get dirt inside. | |

But they yellow on the inside... I've cleaned the outsides with all kinds of stuff, but the insides are still yellow.

| I doubt anything can be done about the inside surface then. Not like you can sand it down, and that's what all these products require.
BTW, I installed my new corner lights last weekend. At my leisure, I'll find time to sand down and coat the old set. Picked up the CV kit at Walmart for $19.

Yeah it should be , at least the permatex kit from advance auto should be. ( its also cheaper than the wal mart kit and worked very well IMO.)

| Hey Dave, I though somewhere in this thread you had posted the GM part numbers for the cornering lenses. Do you still have the numbers, or remember where they are? | |

Yeah it should be , at least the permatex kit from advance auto should be. ( its also cheaper than the wal mart kit and worked very well IMO.) Is it essentially the same as the Crystal View kit (Sandpaper, compound, etc)?

| I haven't seen the crystal view kit so i don't know. I can snap a pic real quick to show how they came out. Its sandpaper and polish with a cloth. I was really happy with the permatex kit , and i probably could have done a better job too i think. I'll have a pic up soon. | |

| Thats the finished product after the permatex. Compare it to my avatar pic or some of my other pictures and you can clearly see the difference. Not brand new , but not noticeably tarnished unless you look for it. | |
