I wonder how they can make any money on these if the shipping is free worldwide. What country do they ship from.?
According to the "Contact Us" page of their site, they're in Hong Kong...
Where else? That's where all the good, cheap cell phone & computer stuff on eBay comes from

hmm, yeh that's a good idea. my friend has it so in his honda CR-V. And yes it's better to watch into rear mirror at same time see how much space is left.
That's a good point, too... I wasn't even thinking about moving eyes/head, I was just trying to make it work without having to run wires all the way to the dash again, after just finishing the sequential turn signals.
Does the display unit have a row of LEDs on each side of the numbers, or just a number in the middle and one left LED & one right LED

A bit late, but it just dawned on me (yes, I'm that slow... )
Timo has repainted the original flat gray/black air-dam portion of his bumper to the body color... Those of us with the original air dams can put these black sensors down there and they will be very subtle. I already bought the eight-dollar MP3 player-transmitter from this site, and it was worth that major expenditure, so I think I'll go ahead and buy this parking sensor for future installation - and plug the sensors into the brain backwards, and then mount the head over the right-rear headrest so it shows up correctly in the rear-view mirror... From the website reviews: - The distance sensor is quite accurate. It will detect distance from about 2.5 meters down to 30cm [ 8 feet down to 12 inches. ]

i'm sure you can but it there...just the numbers will be upside down. also can but the sensor wires ...instead of A to A but A to D, B to C, C to B , D to A. will work thatway. only bad thing about it was that the wire connections to the box are fragile. may come off easely. so maybe just stuck them in and but plastic glue or something on it so the plugs wont come out.

Thanks for the tip on the connectors, Timo.
One last question: Do you recall how long the 4 sensor wires, and the 1 display wire are?

asked the guy if he can get me front rootors and bads..and for what price...found out that he HAD them in the SHOP! YAY!.....but for 150euro..FFS!....oh well...they where just so sheiny so i couldent resist and buyed them..
then cone home to get rid of the old rootors and bads...the right side one vibrated alot....god knows what the last owner did whit it...if i would see him will throw him whit it...cos he has just pissed me so much off whit all the parts and things what he did not change/fix on this poor car!...

much better!
Snowdog, those rotors look like a direct stock replacement. They're not over sized, are they? I know I'm a year late but I'm new here, and you've got one nice riv man!

96rivi, those are the stock size rotors for the 97+ rivs (12"). the 95/96 had 1" smaller rotors (10.9"?) like the w-bodys.
for the 95/96's you dont have many options other than a full front end suspension swap to 98 parts and then use either 98 calipers or fbodys. please go here for more info on this.

Isn't snowdogs riv a 1996? Did he do that upgrade from your writeup? Nice info there btw.

Yeah I can't tell either. They almost look like 12", but I didn't see anything in this thread that says he did the 98 upgrade. I'm getting new rotors soon and with my 18" wheels I'd like to have 12" rotors. But if his are 10", I don't think they look bad at all. The 98 upgrade seems like a lot of work.

It is a lot of work but take a look at my latest video to see what the deceleration is like with fbodys, slotted track rotors and hps pads.

havent posted anything lately. last weekend took the riv for every years car inspection. it passed it.
later cone to see a friend whos a car diagnostic and he helped me find out the problem what been keeping my SES light on for Year! the engine did not run smoothly on low rpm and made it shake. I knowed that it was a vacum leak but not sure from where, so whe sprayed water on the lines and places and sudenly it run smoothly just for a sec cos the water sealed the leak for a secund.
anyways found out that the metal egr pipe what comes from egr and goes to the intake manufault had a crack in it! I was so happy to finaly find out what was wrong whit it! Now i start to think again what to do whit it, maybe fix it or think about blocking the egr fully.

That's good you found the problem. It would have driven me nuts for a long time. Not sure if I'd block the egr myself or not. Would that have an effect on gas mileage and how would the car run with it blocked?

It has almost no effect on Gas Mileage from what I have read, but you will have a constant Check Engine Light unless you can re-program the PCM to eliminate the light. Which is what a lot of guys have done here in the States. But Timo doesn't have access to the software that will allow re-programming the PCM, as far as I know.
So you are back to running with a light on unless you fix the leak by brazing that flex pipe or replacing the whole unit with new or good used.
I would try brazing it first, be careful with the amount of heat as the wall thickness of that tube is very thin.

Or simply use an epoxy glue to seal the crack then sand and paint the tube.

Do you think an Epoxy would hold up to the exhaust temp.?
I was thinking also about a product I bought back when I was installing my garage heater. It came in a caulking gun size tube and was made to seal the exhaust vent going from inside the garage to outside. Every seam had to be sealed with this product, by code, and it cured to the consistency of cement and didn't shrink or crack when it dried and was rated for very high temps. I also think there are many product on the market for doing exhaust repairs that would work. Don't know how permanent they are because I've never used them.

I have one other question: Is the flexible tube that comes from the EGR valve to the LIM replaceable by itself.? In other words, does it bolt to the EGR and to the LIM also. I can't remember.
If so, then we can get a tube here and ship it for hopefully not a lot of money.
Otherwise we have to get a whole EGR Valve and tube assembly.
