FAQ: Rims, Wheels that Look Good on the Riv

just bought these this morning for $434 and everything included! love em and what ive been looking for

Where did you get them from.
They look great.
Actually they similar to the concept / custom Riv that had the Northstar engine in it

What Diameter are they.
And what are they made to fit.
I plugged in 98 Riv and those didn't come up.
How do I find them.?

17" go to victoriatireandwheel.com they have em.
its just a general size made to fit a 225-55-17 tire

The guy I bought my Riv off of originally is a friend of mine. He bought another Pearl white rive and slapped a set of these on in 20's.

Look like 20's on it, with 1-1.5" drop spindles. Its definately lowered anyways, the profile is way lower than a factory riv with 20's.(i.e. Black Pearl is factory profile with 20's) Substantially noticable difference in looks. Uncertain on the make of rim they look just like a polished Cadillac rim though off the l8 90's Caddy's if my memory serves.

Thanks. I am proud of my Riv's age indicators! When I am old and gray, I'm not using just-for-men hair coloring. I will be a silver fox! (PS - they are yellowed, but polished clear, not oxidized).

Maybe, but the yellow corners never really bothered me that much. Will sleep on it some more... if everyone thinks they need to be clear, I guess they will need to be fixed.

That's definitely dropped at least 2". Looks good but you also need projectors... Wait... Am I seeing those right? Has anyone actually made those on one of these cars yet? LOL

I had been eyeballing those ASA wheels since way before i got my riv. i am unable to find a place that sells them anymore though.

I think that picture is actually a Photoshop job. I like the rims, at least from that angle. I saw a lowered Riv the other day with sporty rims and it looked incredibly cool - not in a cheap, ghetto wagon kind of way, just cool - like wow! what a cool car! So I'm thinking about lowering mine an inch or so. The only problem is that my driveway has a 40 degree incline and I already scrape the rear exhaust if I don't pull into it at a certain angle.

Unfortunately they are a 5x120 bolt pattern and tricky to get in manageable sizes for this car but If I see an opportunity, I want to get em. I'd be willing to buy the centric hub adapters if I can get my hands on the right rims. 18" or 19" x the smallest width possible like 8.5" would be perfect. As equipped on the vettes, they are different sizes front to rear so that doesn't help.

may be better to have them re-drilled to our bolt pattern. pretty common for VW guys to do that if they find a rim they like.
