I need to get an L67 soon. I would like to start asap. I will probably email ZZP tonight and see what they say. Do you think 400-500hp is reachable by keeping it supercharged?

Look at their websites:
www.ZZperformance.com and
www.Intense-Racing.com
To see and read about some of the cars they are currently running in the bracket your looking for.

ZZperformance will ONLY help you if you buy their stuff. If you ask questions, all they will tell you is "why don't you just buy ours"?. ZZP does not help "little" people like us.
I'm not saying that they don't know what they're doing, but from my experience their customer service SUX

Agreed. Most successful businesses like ZZP are the same way. The goal of a business is to sell product and increase company value. Unfortunately, it is not to enlighten the little guys. That's the purpose of discussion boards like ours.

Customer service is a different thing - it is related to selling product, taking care of customers. ZZP's customer service has been great in my experience - if you define cust service as answering business-related questions, shipping orders out fast, and handling returns, defective products, etc. I've never had a problem in all my years of dealing with ZZP.

Zooomer can be unpleasant on a personal level, and some of his posts online make me question his business ethic, but his cust service at ZZP has always been tops, imo.

No, they they are not going to chat with you about "what if" scenarios, mod plans, or other BS. And I can't blame them, really. Who has time for that? All of that info can be found in tech articles, and in the 3800 forums. They are probably just tired of repeating themselves over and over.

Yeah, I didn't mean about selling product and/or speed of shipping. I meant you cannot ask them questions about anything without getting the cold shoulder.

find the lightest weight platform to start your build. It WILL make a difference in the long run if you are looking at extremely fast street cars. I think the GP GT (no sunroof) is about as light as you can go. Swap in your built L67 engine and trans, A/C delete, tune and you are done!

And if you really want to make serious power, a turbo build is truly the most bang for buck scenario. But yes it can be done with supercharging, ported heads, big IC, big cam, etc. It's all much easier to do on a turbo car though.

With a budget like that, I'd like to see someone try a twincharged set-up! ZZP used one to set a FWD 3800 1/4 mile record.

I would like to do it as well, but it would be hard to tune, and I live right on the iowa side of the missouri river, so it would be a long trailer ride to ZZP. The main reason why I was considering twincharging is because there is a lot of supercharged and turbocharged cars around, and I would like to be the first with both.

1992-1997 cutlass supreme coupe
3283lbs with a 3100/60E in it [if you find the right one - could have a factory 5spd that could be built up and bolted to a 3800 - although the automatic would probably be faster and easier]
That's a decent looking car and plenty sleeper.
In good condition with the right touches done to it, it's a nice lookin car IMO; not expensive either.

With the L67/65EHD, it would be a dab over 3300lbs. I think that's about the best you can do on a direct fit unstripped chassis, save the Fiero

Yeah, those are good lookin cars....always liked those, especially the drop tops. Only thing is, they're either in perfect shape or garbage. I never see any in-between.
