| Thanx for the welcome... Been reading the forums here and at RegalGS.org for quite sometime and figured it was time to get involved instead of just sucking up all the knowledge you guys have here to share. I haven't done much as far as mods except the basics...just things to make it more personal..have some plans but haven't gotten that far along yet...I bought the '97 about 3 years ago and have been doing alittle at a time. This is my 3rd Riviera, '81 was totaled in accident years ago..and have a '90 modle thats For Sale..This one is my favorite..
Over the past 3 yrs I have added....180* Thermostat, Custom CAI with 9in K&N Cone Filter, Accel Armor Shield Braided Ignition Wires, PowerStop Drilled Brake Rotors with Ceramic Brake Pads, SilverStar H/Lamp Bulbs (High&Low Beam), Aluminum Alloy 5 Spoke Wheels with Michelin Xone P225/60R16's. Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil. Updated speakers... Infinity 6x9in Rear, 5 1/4in & 3in Tweeter in doors. 35% Tinted windows. De-Badged. i have the Strut Tower Brace...but haven't gotten it installed yet.
Hopefully, in the future I'll be able to add... Wooden Dash, Free Flow Exhaust System, FWI with larger Throttle Body, SS Braided Brake Hoses, 17 or 18in Rims. Struts & Shocks (Nothing Performance wise available so looks like I'll update with Monroe SensaTrac on front and Max Air on rear). Possible Engine swap to SuperCharged. Thanx again for the "Welcome" RedNeckRiviera

Thanx...I'm looking to go a step up...17" or 18 "...having a time finding just what I'm looking for...not wanting alot of "bling"..simple 5 spoke is all.,..seems there are alot of RWD wheels that I like ..but in FWD can't seem to locate any that "do it" for me. RedNeckRiviera

| welcome! i love the black riv's got ne pics of the inside? sound like your mods are coming along nicely, but i would not use SS brake lines unless you wat to change them out regularly. they add no performance, only "feel" and trouble. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32Â 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Welcome welcome. Very nice ride. Five spokes look good. I agree nothing too blingy on the rims. I feel the same way...lots of RWD rims I really like, but FWD are wack. Love to see the inside when you get a chance. Hurry up and put the STB on. I put mine on this week and I can tell a big difference. | |

| Hey Vic, I was just looking at your CarDomain page. You've had three Rivs! You're a riv fan from way back. I didn't notice the cross drilled rotors. I have them on mine too, but mine are harder to see through the rims. Looks good debadged also. I think it makes the car look "not so long" IMO. | |
