| That's a very interesting story. I have not heard of that happening to anyone before. I bet that was a big mess to clean up and kinda disgusting too. I think this deer is probably ok. I didn't see it anywhere and I didn't see any blood or anything. Just the smudge from its hoof. I think it's time I get comprehensive put on this car. Been gambling with liability for to long. This could have been alot worse and I would have been in trouble. | |

| Removing the back seat and side interior panel before you take it to the shop will save you a few bucks. | |

| I have all of that out now actually. I was going to see if I could push it out myself any, but I may do other damage to it. Figured better leave it to the body shop. | |

| I guess its all at once with stuff with the car. Now the ac compressor seems fine but my tensioner pully siezed and blew the belt. Won't be getting an estimate done today. Getting the pulley changed after work. | |

| Got the car to the body shop yesterday. Looking at just under $1,000 to fix the car. I also pulled the rear panel out inside and the seats and asked if he could pop any of the quarter dent out. He did pretty good for only 10 minutes of messing with it. Looks alot better till I get it fixed in January. free picture upload free image host

| I noticed the picture doesn't really show what's still there. It's still dented and deformed, but not caved in like it was. | |

| No frame damage. I think I barely hit the deer. I didn't see it and I was looking for them and I never felt it hit the car just heard a thud and went what was that?? It just caved in the quarter in that one spot and then right above the headlight in the front right fender. That was all there was. | |

| @ Chris: Good it was a light hit. Are you gonna get the entire car painted while you're at it? | |

| No, it shouldn't need it. The paint was in pretty good condition anyway. The body guy should be able to get it to blend pretty well. I'd be looking at alot more money to paint the whole car too. I would want it done right if I were to have it done. | |

| See if you can wax the dent area...or you said there was a crack in the paint! | |

| I was wrong about that. There isn't a crack in the paint like I thought there was. | |

| I'm going to get it fixed hopefully in January. Don't want to leave the dents like they are. It has to perfect of a body to not get that taken care of. | |

| This is unrelated to the deer accident, but I found out that I had a broken U-bracket for my front addco sway bar. Called them up a couple of weeks ago and they sent me out 2 new brackets for free. Just got them today. | |

| The Riv finally goes in tonight after work to get the deer damage fixed. They said it would be done next Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll be driving my moms Mustang since it's been raining here and I refuse to get my Camaro dirty I'd have the IROC out but that's been a big delay in trying to find a "GOOD" left fender. Seemed every one I got was trashed and not usuable. It came with Jap fenders and neither fit for crap. Anyway next week I should be able to post some pics of the fixed Riv. I don't know if I'll get in to get any pictures of him working on it. I'm going to probably be too busy to get up there. It's about 20 minutes away from me. | |

| Ok so I got the Riv back Thursday night. I got some pictures that day and then finally got it washed and time to take more pictures this weekend. It turned out great. He did a great job on the body work and was able to blend the paint. Can't tell anything ever happened. He also put new pin strip on both sides of the car. how to screenshot on windows 7 jpg images image upload no size limit photo uploading screen shot | |
