| Just wondering if anyone has bought one of these? I need to do something fast because the wife parks in the garage and the snow melt is running down between the garage slab and the foundation block and causing the concrete block inside the house to flake away. I have tried to seal the crack in the garage between the slab and the block with a high quality sealant but to no avail. Thanks | |

And what kind of sealant are we talking about? A chaulk based joint sealant or a concrete sealer?

| I'm surprised there isn't a better waterproofing agent on your concrete. If I were you, I'd look for an epoxy sealant (similar to that used in tile installations), which provide great waterproofing and will seal the leaks nicely. Alternatively, you could use a non-shrink metallic grout to do the same thing. A mat won't do much to stop the damage to the slab.
What "high-quality" sealant are you using?
I work in construction - I can recommend a few good products that we use on our commercial installations.

| Quick product suggestions - TREMproof 60 or TREMproof 201. Both are elastomeric joint sealants that are suitable for concrete applications and repair.
I'd recommend coating your entire garage floor with it when you can. Be advised that depending on where you live, some sealants & waterproofing agents need to be applied at a certain temperature, so make sure you check the packaging for this information, otherwise the application could fail.
Let me know if you need anymore information! You can find the product information for those (2) sealants online.

| ** And a quick commonsense note - ensure that the floor is COMPLETELY dry before applying. You don't want to seal in any moisture. ;-) | |

| I used a good quality elastomer sealant but living in MN the weather change causes the concrete to shrink then swell so there is no other alternative but the garage mat. Also. I don't have a drain and the only other way to remedy the problem is to pour a new floor that doesn't slope towards the house. | |

| I live in Mn too and unless you garage is heated I probably wouldnt use a mat that just holds water and freezes. If it is heated it would dry fairly easy and not be a problem. | |
