Just a question on the timing gears in our engines. I know on alot of the older engines that I am familiar with, the OEM cam gear had nylon or plastic tips on the teeth. My question is, do any of the 3800 engines have the same thing, and if not, when did they discontinue using them. On our older engines, the tips usually break off and end up in the pan. Anyone know?
