Not different, just optional. The GM braces just bolt to the sheetmetal, with backing studs from underneath. The Impalas we saw today have them, along with other select upgrades I'll go back & get. ;-) I prefer the ZZP plates that mount the GM STB's to the actual strut bolts.
Overall, not a big deal, these are far from autocross vehicles.

I agree. A STB that mounts using the strut bolts would be mucho better than the factory STB. Waiting on more pics and video of the LSX...

You pony-up for the rest of the little items it needs, and we'll gladly post vids of piss-pounding the car. If not, it'll just have to wait until Corey gets the tensioner, belt, and upcoming exhaust items on there.
Once it's got headers, we'll plan a trip to the track in August. First running street tires (only 215's on the LS), then maybe it'll go out for some passes using my 10.5" wide slicks on aluminum 15" Montana wheels.
Should be about the fastest 3.8" pulley runs ever made. Soon-after, Corey will save up for an MPS with 3.4 and 3.2 for non-I/C, until the big spending for an I/C happens later.

Yes, I only told him we'd need to dig up a tensioner. Not sure why you tossed in 5 extra items. Oh well, got the one in the bunch that's needed. Just gotta rob a special nut (13mm M10) from a "secret hiding place" that GM puts spares on 3800 S2-3's. ;-)
