| Got a Nexus 7 today. It's AWESOME. Definitely making a temporary mount and not a permanent one when it goes in the Riv.. either that or I'm getting another one for the house. follow me on instgram @ zercharyread Finally got some snow in Toledo this weekend. Pic from last month. | |

One was lost so I took em all off. I shouldve left it because I think it would increase my ghetto camo a point or two more than with all of them off. Always looking to up my ghetto camo.

| ^^^ yeah, that sucks. Hopefully it'll end up in a yard for us to pick at soon. So today is the first time i've lifted up the hood of my riv in quite a while. Had to refill wiper fluid. MAN, that road salt has fucked up my beautifully clean engine bay! I AM PISSED. But what i'm really concerned about is my FWI. I of course cant see it but I am sure the cone filter is caked in salt. I pulled the IAT sensor out from its dangling position and it was salty, not too bad but it was salty. I kind of wish I would have mounted the intake air filter in the engine bay for the winter. I dont like it down there right now. | |

| Switching from FWI to stock intake in the winter might not be a bad idea. Since ambient is obviously cooler in the winter it probably wouldnt really screw with your performance at all. And MOST of us dont drive like crazy people in the winter anyway. | |

Really wish I wouldve! I dont know what I was thinking, but I didnt expect my engine bay to get so nasty!

| I've run a FWI for over 8 winters now with no issues. Never noticed much if any salt on my filter (it's shielded from heat and splash by an aluminum plate). But if I do find some that's good - filter is doing its job.
I clean the filter about once per year now that I'm not putting lots of miles on the Riv. Used to do it twice per year. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| I took a look at my FWI last weekend. Filter was dirty as hell and on the inside of the the intake tubing I saw splattered evidence of salt! WTF.
The outside rim of the filter was caked in wet sand. I didnt like what I saw.
I got it cleaned up and I am going to keep it in the bay as a hot air intake until I can get a new filter to swap out while I clean this one.
In other news....
I finally got my wheels balanced today. passenger rear was off by 2 ounces and drivers side rear was off by 3 ounces!
Magically enough, this eliminated all steering wheel vibrations I was getting at 65-75 MPH! I thought for sure it was the front wheels but I was wrong!
