I see it. Looks like it was in pretty good shape too.

It was an amazingly solid car for what i paid for it. I paid 1800, drove it for about a year, then sold it for 1800.  

Bought a new '78 Diamond Jubilee Edition and it was a fine car. I wish I still had it.

Got my 17x7.5 Superior Scoundrel wheels in the mail yesterday. They're essentially Cobra R wheels made in the Taurus/Thunderbird bolt pattern. These wheels were discontinued about 10 years ago, and I found a very nice used set on the Super Coupe forums. Even though the car still needs paint, these wheels are extremely rare and I didn't want to let the opportunity pass.

Ford Racing actually produced SVT Thunderbird wheels that were 17X7, and they are just as rare. I was originally looking for a set of authentic SVTs, but the condition of the Scoundrels and the extra 1/2" of width prompted me to buy these instead, not to mention they look identical. They're my favorite style of wheel for the SHOs.

A few of the tabs were broken on the center caps so they're out for now, and I'm going to glue them in to be safe. I'll also install chrome lug nuts at that time, but here is how the car looks with 225/50/17 Cooper Zeon RS3-A all-season performance tires. It's shaping up pretty well so far!

Those wheels look perfect on the SHO. Are they silver painted? If so, I don't mind the look of darker lug nuts.

Thanks Aaron! Yes the wheels are silver painted. Now that you mention it, I may just get some black plastic lug caps instead. I think it will look cleaner and less busy. I got to drive the car for the first time last weekend! It's been out of commission since 2006. It's such a blast to drive and the interior is exquisite. Without even asking, my upholsterer put in new padding and the seats feel amazing.

Now I have to wait two more weeks until I can test out the new rubber during Thanksgiving break. I had oversized 225/60/16 tires from my Riv's old wheels on the SHO, and they looked like monster truck tires. I bet the handling and launch will be greatly improved.

Not exactly some awesome great ride, but today I inherited the use of our families little 2002 Hyundai Accent. We bought this car brand new for 7grand back in '01 and it now has 247,000miles with absolutely no major wrenching. Just regular oil, fluids, brakes, tires, etc. Impressive little driver. Both of my sisters before used it as a daily commuter, now both have moved onto other cars (newer Accents, go figure) and now I'm going to use this as my winter-beater/daily commuter. Thing gets 45mpg avg on the roads around here so am not complaining at all. I love these little old accents.
I remember our first, a blue '01. My mother and I were in it sitting at a red light on a freeway (hwy2 on the way out to Anacortes, Wa) We were sitting stopped as a 43' RV bus slammed into us doing 60mph. He was not watching the road and did not see the light. The collision smashed the car clear into the back passenger area and pushed the car across the intersection and down the road. My mother and I were both absolutely fine save for a little whiplash. Really proved itself that day. This is the car we bought to replace it and it's still putsing along today. Fun, reliable, cheeeeeap little cars. Oh and I washed it for the first time in the last 7 years today

Taking it home for the night...still haven't bought it yet, but getting close. This car is not exactly what I was looking for as it's a 6 speed. The dealer is nice enough to let us drive it for a day so I can be sure if that's what I want. It sure is a sweet (fast) ride. Lots of options, too.

So you decided the Reatta just didn't have enough power? Haha! Beautiful Vette! Hope you can work out a deal.
