| Well my current trans is screaming uncle after I got my tuner.... " back story" What was funny is after this race I went to give another ricer in a eclipse a eaton salute . The transmission went from 2nd to 1st and slipped all the way to the Rev limiter. DAMN! Drove home that was the end of my night. This was a couple of weeks ago. I had the transmission shiftpoints at 5800 RPMs. I have lowered them to 5500 RPM since and threw in a bottle of lucas so now everything is Ok. So after talking to Billboost37. We decided I should upgrade to a 4T65E trans.Yesturday he put a down payment on a 4T65E-HD out of a 98 Regal. So now it is time to . We will keep this updated with new info as it comes along. P.S. anyone got 96 or 97 Service manuals for sale | |

| Anyone ever found the firewall wiring harness from inside? I hear the pcm is inside the riv instead of in the engine bay. | |

| I have the full factory service manuals for the '98. The transmission is most likely the same for '97 You are close by, just LMK if you want to use it | |

| Close.. you bet. He'll be doing the swap in Enfield Ct and IIRC on 1/16 he'll be up toward Boston.
Although I figure all we really need is to confirm the pins from the trans connector to the PCM connector/pin location. I am assuming GM kept them the same for all 3.8's in 97.

| There is a full breakdown of the 4T65-E wiring harness connector in the FSM. I skimmed the transmission pages last night (hundreds of pages about the 4T65-E I did not have time to read them all). Every connector, each pinout, trouble code, ... well just everything is covered in there. It's very extensive.
I think somebody has hosted the GM FSM online thingy somewhere, that might have the pinouts in it. Not sure how detailed their online service manuals are. I'll see if I can find it.
