My cassette player says that there is a type in it, but there isn't. Does anyone know where the release is so i can actually put a cassette in it for my ipod? If that made any sense.

There should be an eject button around the cassette deck. I have a '95 with the tape deck, ashtray, then CD player layout from top to bottom, so I don't know what your radio looks like. If noone answers, check in your owner's manual.

when you push the eject button it just makes a really bad noise. i need to know their is a release inside that i can push to make it release. I don't have a cassette in it and i have never put on in it. so it says an error every time you push the eject button. does anyone know where the release is inside of the player?

Doesn't sound good. I don't know if there's a mechanical release, but if you send a private message to AA or one of the other admins here, you'll probably get a solid, quick answer.

My tape drive has never worked. The factory tape decks suck big time. Once I had my dash apart so I took my radio out and wedgied the cassette loading tray back into place but it still won't load anything and makes the buggity noise.

Get an FM transmitter smile

Haha, after looking there, it seems like our cars have an appetite for tapes! One guy even bought his with one stuck in it to boot.

My tape-to-3.5mm adapter works fine in it, ejects out and slips in, but while it's running it makes a clicky noise if the volume is low enough.
