| I just changed my lower intake manifold and I noticed I tore the lower rubber/boot off of one of the injectors. Do I need to replace that injector or should it still work ok? AutoZone ordered one, but I hate to drop almost a hundred bucks if I don't need to. I put it back together for now until the part comes in and it seems to be running ok. Thoughts? | |

| Do you mean the O-ring? They should be replaced if you damage one. The rings are available from ZZP for $6 or so. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| Aaron are those Series 1 rings?
I think they are different S1 vs S2, but Autozone should be able to get the Fel Pro rings. O rings usually run 4 to a box for about $3
Edit: LOL I hit Autozone's website and proved myself wrong..hahaha ES70599 is the part number according to them. Same as S2. | |

| It's not the O-ring. It's the pointie (< not really a word) part at the bottom. The rubber is broke off flush to up to the metal. | |

| Must be a different injector than the one used in Series II. It's a different part according to RockAuto. Replace it, but don't spend $100 at AutoZone. Go with remanufactured from RockAuto:

Mine were $28 each after core. Series I should be similar. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^

| Oh..the pintle cap. Hmm I think ebay may have had a rebuild kit with filter baskets and pintles. Or just ask around. Someone on the forums has to have some laying around. | |

| Thanks guys! Appreciate the help. I just hated to drop a Franklin if I didn't need to. That a lot of money that could go elsewhere. | |
