| I'm about to go full tilt on cosmetics this spring/summer. Some things I wonder about...
How many of you guys tint over the reverse clears? To me, they are basically useless anyways and I highly doubt I'd ever miss them.
Has anyone painted the chrome trim around the brake light? I'd like to see pics of what that might look like if anyone has any.
Thanks, team! | |

| I just did my turn signals today and learned a few things. If all of these have been posted before please feel free to delete this post. 1: Take the lenses out, don't be lazy like I was 2: Buy the best tape you can. Seriously. Do it. 3: If the tint starts to run, let it run all the way down, then wipe it off with a cloth. Don't try and catch it while it's running. 4: Tape everything. Then tape it again. Then cover everything with newspaper. Then tape it again. Have I mentioned that you need to tape excessively? 5: If you are as stubborn and lazy as I am, have some rubbing compound ready. My tape didn't catch everything, some of the tint bled through. The rubbing compound got most of it (works especially well on overspray), but the larger globs left a slight stain. 6: Go light on the coats. It will help prevent runs and let you tint more progressively. 7: Finish everything with a clear coat. Makes it look stock. | |
