it does look 10X better blacked out. and your corner light are nice and white, did you replace them? I don't have any pics of them on. I could get some when I'm home next weekend. My corners are replaced, yep. The car was outside for 5 years before I bought it, tried everything and they always had a yellow tint no matter what. Ewolfe's turn signals look perfect and seeing them inspired me to do mine.

| finally got around to doing this... without flash with flash I took the time to do it right and remove the light to tint them, and it is a royal pain the the ass to remove the front bumper. rear one is easy, but i hope to God the tint never bubbles up b/c i dont want to go through removing those screws/chrome trim again. I will take some daylight pics and some with the lights on too. they actually light up very well when on. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | That looks really good. Will you be doing the tail lights too? I wouldn't worry about them bubbling up. Mine has gone through multiple washings without a problem. Your car looks great. | |

| ok, finally got around to taking some daytime pics. you will have to trust me that it is orange and not red b/c it's hard to time the camera to take the same time as the blinker, plus its light out. i may take a video clip of it at night if anyone is that interested in how they look. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | On a car that's so monochromatic, that really looks sweet.
Suggestion: Try locking the settings on the camera like we do when we're taking pics of headlight beams...

| maybe looks nice on a black car...but on a white... guess clear turnsignals would suit much better whit silver look turn signal bulbs. | |

| Yeah, but black & white still go together better than black & many colors. Besides, everything that isn't white is either chrome or black: the heavy window tint (illegal in California), the tires, the rocker panels, the grill... | |

| WOW very nice, would you mind directing me to where you got that vinyl? or did you pick it up somewhere locally. is it applied like tint or like a sticker? also, what kind of bulb do you guys have in your rivs for the tuning light (next to your headlight)? because my park ave has a turning light and i replaced it with a blue light, it looks really good with HIDs and i think it would finish the lights on your car. i can post a vid of this if you dont know what im talking about. | |

i have the silverstar corner light in but they are just white, not blue and certainly dont compare to the hids. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | They look really good! I'd be concerned with visibility in bright sun situations though. This IS tempting...

| keep in mind this tint is made for headlights on bikes. it shows light through pretty well. not that anyone looks at blinkers anyways Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone considering doing this mod. This mod is cheap and makes a huge difference in front appearance, but the install, on the other hand, is a bit of work to take off the front bumper and do it right. there are 20+ push pins, 2 bolts and 4 nuts (PITA to reach) and the hard part is not breaking the chrome trim around the wells. i personally would do it again in a heartbeat after seeing how it looks. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | They show 33% light allowed thru it, not too bad. Sounds like a true PITA for someone without a lot of spare time for it. (like me) Wonder how it would turn out if cut to fit and placed carefully w/o removing first.. | |

| if it looks bad just peel it back off. you are only out a few bucks and the sheet they send may be big enough for 3 lights if you have a template to cut. they also make a light smoke sheet that has 40% light if i recall correct. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | Hmmm... what you could do is make a paper pattern a little bigger than the area to be covered, then cut the film to match the pattern. Then use a popsicle stick or plastic knife to tuck the film under the edges of the bumper cover as you apply the film. Use a piece of wet toweling wadded around a stick, or a damp sponge, to rub bubbles out as you apply film. Get stubborn bubbles out by perforating bubble with a pin or razor corner then force out through the perforation.
