Thanks, The fit IS good and the finish is almost where I'd like it to be. Maybe a few touch ups when I get a chance but for now it does look good!

| Since there have been at least a couple of requests for information, I am going to post removal procedures, including pictures and part numbers, for some of the items that I removed from my ’95 to make for a better paint job. I am going to do a post for each item and put them here in the “Write-Up: PAINT JOB” topic since Aaron listed it as a Write-Up, and I guess this is where it should be? Any questions, comments, or concerns with anything I am listing here, let me know and I’ll answer them or fix errors and omissions as needed. Hope this helps anyone interested in doing this as I have… WAY TOO MUCH! | |

| Door Molding, Belt Reveal Molding: No clips or pins required here, starting at the back end of the molding carefully pry up. Can be removed with or without the mirror mounted. No pictures of the Door Lower Molding: Pry off as carefully as possible, most of the clips will break anyway! Molding Clips…(8/Side)…P/N… 16615003 | |

| Rocker Molding: The Inner Wheel Wells and the Carpet Retainer (door threshold) have to be removed to remove the rocker molding. The RED circled PURPLE rectangle is a bracket, broken off on this one, that is screwed into the metal from behind the wheel well. One of my ‘95s has push pins and one has screws, and both of my ‘99s have screws, on the bottom of the molding?!? Remove whatever is holding it on from the bottom, circled in RED, then pull out from the bottom of the molding, rotating it upward. The five places circled in BLUE are clips that will more than likely break when removing it, the GREEN circle shows tabs that are part of the molding and should release. Rocker Molding Retainer…if you don’t have screws!...circled in RED...(7/Side)… 21075686Molding Clip…(5/Side)…circled in BLUE…P/N… 16616547 | |

| Door Window Trim: If you want to get REAL CRAZY and not have a tape line above the doors you can follow these SIMPLE steps! Remove the interior trim piece from the A-pillar, the headliner, and the front of the B-pillar, BLUE arrow, this trim piece just kind of pulls out of the slot it is in. With the Carpet Retainer (door threshold) removed, remove the Door Opening Weather Strip, GREEN arrow, it has a couple of places it is glued on at the very front corner and at the back at the top of the quarter panel. After removing the Door Opening Weather Strip, there are several screws that hold on the Weather Strip Retainer, remove those, the Retainer and the Roof Drip Molding will then come loose, being very careful, there are 3 spring clips holding the Belt Molding Filler Assembly on, this is the small triangular piece at the front of the door, where they are is circled in RED in the last picture. This procedure removes the trim from around the door windows. BE CAREFUL when closing the door after the Weather Strip is removed, there is nothing for the window to rest against so it will close against the metal door frame! | |

I wondered if it should be a separate write-up but figured since it was part of my paint job I'd put it here. Thanks for setting me straight.

| No problem. It was fine, but this way it's more visible to someone just looking for the mirror tear-down. Great write-ups, btw. | They may be molded but they still fall out. One of mine is sitting in the trunk, and the other is coming off. | |

That's true, my '95 and my first SA had separated so I replaced the moldings on them shortly after I got them. There isn’t anymore of the moldings anywhere so someone will have to come up with a fix for it I’d guess?

| I didn't realize the rear was one big molding but you circled what I need. Mine came off in four sections... sides and top together, two "L" corner moldings, and lower molding. The glass guy did say there were two different designs- one piece and an aftermarket multiple piece.
Is your extra one piece?
