| I guess that's what I meant.. wheel+tire. Does it need to be the same diameter as OEM? Is that the trick? | |

| The overall rolling diameter needs to be the same as stock, so revolutions per mile are the same. This thread contains a wheel & tire size comparator, so you can tell what combinations will work: https://rivperformance.editboard.com/t454-wheel-tire-lug-bolt-pattern-center-bore-infoWheel/tire combos that are compatible with our stock size of 225-60-R16 (most common arrangements are in bold): 16" wheel: 265-50-R16* 245-55-R16 225-60-R16 (OEM) 205-65-R16 195-70-R16 17" wheel: 305-40-R17* 275-45-R17* 245-50-R17 225-55-R17205-60-R17 18" wheel: 315-35-R18* 275-40-R18* 245-45-R18215-50-R18 195-55-R18 19" wheel: 315-30-R19* 275-35-R19* 245-40-R19215-45-R19 195-50-R19 20" wheel: 335-25-R20* 275-30-R20* 245-35-R20215-40-R20 185-45-R20 21" wheel: 355-20-R21* 285-25-R21* 235-30-R21 205-35-R21 185-40-R21 22" wheel: 295-20-R22* 235-25-R22 195-30-R22 * tires above 245mm width may rub fender linings & brake hoses. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| looking to move to a larger rim. I have searched but not found any pics or discussions on Lucerne 18's on a Riv. Do these fit, my concern really is the offset, dont want them to be in too far in. Any pics, info, opinions, would be appreciated! thanks, jbird

| Thanks for the reply!
I have been all thru that thread, saw the 17" rims. I am more interested in the 18x7.5 10 spokes, I think they look great just would love to see them on a Riv before I'd order/buy any. The stock rims fit the wheel well right, don't like if the offset/backspacing has them out or in too far. Jbird

| The 18" Lucerne wheels will work and fit just fine, yes. I originally wanted the Nickel versions of those, but they're hard to come by, and still expensive used and/or refurbished. I got the wheels that are on my car now brand new for half the price of used Lucerne wheels.... | |

Good to know they'll fit, I was wanting the painted version but found a good price on chrome ones...may have to keep looking. The stock rims look decent & I have good tread, patience... I have quite a bit of winter weather ahead! Thanks Jbird

| Check out the Sport Edition SE-14's. They're easier to come by, cheaper, and have a few finishes and sizes to choose from. | |

| You should make another set in gold. I think it would make them look a little better. | |

Jbird Hey Jeff, theres a Riv I've seen a few times at school with the wheels I think you're referring to. I never got to talk to the owner but they look to fit nicely, and fit the styling well enough to look like they could have been an option.

| Subject: I'm looking to put rims on in the spring!! 22's or 20's ???? I'm torn... Fri Jan 17, 2014 6:37 pm | |
| I have had a 99 rivi for about 8 months!
I'm debating on what to do for the spring!
I'm wanting 22 inch rims and tires...
Most websites dont agree with it...
It seems i just need to go low profile on the tires and I should be fine...
ANY EXPERIENCE AND OR USEFULL INFORMATION ????????????

| The size of rims as well as the style is purely personal preference. The only concern would be clearance of the wheel well openings. | |

| I think most ppl on here would recommend at most 18s. If you do go to 22s, get ready to feel every bump in the road. Also get ready to constantly be reminded of how small the Riv's brakes look (if you get an open design).
Whatever you do, let us know how it turns out!
