Tips are from 2005+ Grand Prix GTP. They are available through GM accessories. To buy em it's like $350 for the pair....but they are true stainless.

| The onley spoiler what may look good on this car and goe whit the bodylines would be a BMW lip spoiler what normaly M3's have. you can buy them from ebay whit different sizes. just glued on it. No trilling holes and has a clean look. | |

Yeah...try to find em at a yard. No matter how dirty and nasty they become, spray em with wheel cleaner and the sh*t just falls right off and they look new again. I got lucky when I got these.....Dealerships throw away stock that sits too long. Doesn't make any sense to me, as stuff could be sent back to GM.....but no, they waste money and throw it all away. They were part of an option package, which is why some GTP's have the ovals with 2 holes and some have these.....

| Yeah those ovals with two holes look like crap. The dual holes give it a sportier appearance, like it costs more. Have you seen the dual, single piped exhausts on the CompG versions I think? Its just two large circular pipe tips into the bumper. | |

| Yep. Not sure where to get those besides the dealer....I think the exhaust on those might be an SLP version, not quite sure though. They may even be perma-attached to the mufflers.....been awhile since I've seen one. | |

| yep. Your better off getting mufflers that actually fit the Riv and spending the extra money on quality exhaust tips. There is a BIG difference between chrome-plated stainless and stainless chrome (polished stainless). Unfortunately, most of the tips you can buy in stores are plated and will fall apart after about 2 years.....at least up here in the north. | |

| I saw a few nice pipes on ebay, but for $20 apiece I dont know how good the quality is when the others were going for $40 apiece... | |

It's "buyer beware" on inexpensive exhaust tips. Even at the $40-$60 ea range you never know how long they will last (in the North). That's why stainless mufflers are so damn expensive...they last (example: stainless MagnaFlow). To get a good quality exhaust is expensive....

| That just... does not look good on the Riv in my opinion.
I can see what I think is the "intent" - to streamline the exhaust as like the point of the lines of the rear of the car. But I don't think it works.

| Maybe he was going for the Corvette style?? Not working though. Talk about a piping nightmare under there to get the tips in that position! | |

| That would have to be two tips and integrated into the bumper more if it were to even have a chance. | |

You'd put a single glasspack type muffler in front of the "T", take out everything from the "T" on back and run a single pipe straight out the back. There was a Riv owner on RegalGS.org who did it.

| That looks awful. Like 10 lbs of shyt in a 5 lb bag. I noticed the fender vents as well, so maybe it was some type of futuristic look they were going for? | |

| They're borrowing a design influence from the C5&6 Corvettes.
I thought about doing this myself, but I would have wanted it tucked up into the bumper as someone else mentioned. I believe I've got a Pchop posted here somewhere - we discussed it a couple years or more ago.
It's cool that someone tried this although it could have been executed better. It'd be interesting to incorporate it into Sqrivi's bumpers.

Hmmm, didn't think of that but then again I haven't really looked at how our exhaust are setup yet. I'm still a fan of the dual unless this was executed really well.
