| So are these from THE Japanese JUN BL or from the knock-off company using similar name? A little Google search turns up some forum conversations about this. | |

| These would definately look awesome on the Riv. Quick thought though, as a japanese company, would these tips be better on a quick little sports car and make the right noise, or would they try to make our cars sound like the ricers that everyone sees? Other than that, they are really awesome. Would it be the same price with no label or weld or no weld? | |

tips shouldn't change the sound at all. the ricers can buy tips with baffels in them to change the sound but thats not what rob has. tho i dont know why there is mesh inside the tips, unless its just for looks and structure. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. That's cool, I was just curious. Have to admit I've never heard of the company before, so I was doing a little research.

We'll see. The mesh is what specifically caught my eye and made me think about the noise. Glad someone else noticed it. Hope to hear some more soon.

| Couple questions - Has anyone seen an exhaust tip like this - It looks a little bigger and wider, with more space between the pipes, than the dual tips used on dual exhaust applications. IMO those don't have the visual bulk to be used on a single center exhaust. This tip also has the silver ring around the pipes to, again, increase the visual bulk of the tip. Question 2 - Does anyone know of a material that could be glued or otherwise attached to our plastic cladding and sculpted into that little lip around the pipes? If I can find a tip I like I may get a 2nd rear plastic piece to cut up, and sculpt that lip into if there's a way to do it. Then I can paint it and have a good factory look. | |

| i'm probably not much help but... center tips look good on the Murcielago, not so much on a riviera IMO. but there is a huge selsection of tips out there. oval ones are harder to find, but you could try some of the import vendors. _________________ 1996 with 254k miles, L32 4" FWI -> ported N* -> Ported Gen V w/3.0" Pulley, Stage 3 Phenolic I/C, ZZP FMHE, 1.84 RR, Headers and 3" pipe to mufflers, F-body brakes, and lowered on Eibachs. -RIP AMG C400 White on black. | It's a great Murcielago pic anyway.
I tend to agree about center pipes on the Riv - but the exhaust layout is made for it. Form follows function . . . I'm going to look into it. I hate all the bends the stock exhaust goes through.
A couple ovals like yours put together might work.

| After chroming the grill and getting those Park Ave. chrome wheels, I think I need to put some nice tips on the Riviera.
It looks like the diameter of the pipe behind our large oval tips is 2".
So where should I get them from? I need stainless steel, with a chrome finish, and I need them fast. They will be welded on by a friend of mine.
Any suggestions? I'm keeping the stock mufflers.

| Might try looking for new/used Hyundai or Mercedes tips, both use chromed oval designs. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| id agree wit Hyundai. my dad has a 2006 sonata and my mom has an 07 tuscon..both have the oval..BUT...the actual tip is inside of it and its like 1.25 inches..if that means anything to u...the oval is just for look..and just surround a very small pipe. | |

| You could cut out the insides of the Hyundai, or get Benz... I found a pair of C600 tips on ebay, but haven't put them on yet. They are pretty massive inside. _________________ '05 GTO 6.0L • 6-spd • 95k miles • 0-60: 4.8s • 16.9 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:26'95 Celica GT 2.2L • 5-spd • 165k miles • 0-60: yes'98 SC Riviera • 281k miles • 298 HP/370 TQ • 0-60: 5.79s • ET: 13.97 @ 99.28 • 4087 lb • 20.1 avg MPG • Nelson Ledges Lap: 1:30 3.4" pulley • AL104 plugs • 180º t-stat • FWI w/K&N • 1.9:1 rockers • OR pushrods • LS6 valve springs • SLP headers • ZZP fuel rails KYB GR2 struts • MaxAir shocks • Addco sway bars • UMI bushings • GM STB • Enkei 18" EV5s w/ Dunlop DZ101s • F-body calipers EBC bluestuff/Hawk HP plus • SS lines • Brembo slotted discs • DHP tuned • Aeroforce • Hidden Hitch^^^ SOLD ^^^ '70 Ninety-Eight Holiday Coupe 455cid • 116k miles^^^ SOLD ^^^ | |

| I don't think I'm looking for a similar oval replacement. I was thinking more of an aggressive straight-pipe design, like the Mercury Marauder has, except chromed. | |

I like the marauder tips too. Search ebay for them see if something pops up there.

| Ok...Called a couple places about removing and was quoted $30 to $60. Should I just hacksaw them off myself? They seem awfully close to the bend in the pipe. Will this leave enough straight pipe to add a new tip? | |
